✨POP CULTURE NEWS ONE HUNDRED and THIRTY-SIX: CBS TV DRAMA NEWS AND NEW PERIOD DRAMAS✨ Recapping the stories from the week! #PopCulture #NCISHawaii #NCIS #RobinHood #HughJackman Share on XFans are still upset over the (late) last week cancellation of CBS’ NCIS: Hawaii. It’s a story that received numerous comments compared to most of the other peer stories, and one fan on Deadline even notes their anger over this cancellation while NCIS: Los Angeles gets renewed. I kind of wanted to tell the commenter to check their sources. If they did, FYI, NCIS: Los Angeles is over. In response to the news of this NCIS cancellation, along with So Help Me Todd and CSI: Vegas, CBS execs say it’s “incumbent to keep the schedule fresh and keep the momentum going.” When commenting about the cancellation of CSI: Vegas, they had this to say: “I definitely think that franchise is alive and well and we continue to be in discussions. It’s a part of our legacy.”

Speaking of the NCIS universe, Jess and Jimmy may be coming to an end on this week’s finale episode. I have to say, if this is true, I’m going to be so sad. NCIS does really “do” romance (well, I mean with exception to the whole Tony and Ziva thing), but this romance has been so good. Just subtle (wise) and so cute which is a nice offset to the usual story threads. Reason for this is that Knight is given a new career opportunity and Jimmy, always and forever supportive of her, realizes they may have to end. Since Jess already chose Jimmy earlier in this season, I have a feeling that won’t repeat (cue tears). What do you think? pop culture news one hundred and thirty-six
BBC has commissioned yet another (making this the third in as many years) six episode series of The Forsyte Saga. The last one featured Damian Lewis and Francesca Annis. This one will have Annis again as well as Stephen Moyer, Jack Davenport, Tuppence Middleton (Downton Abbey: A New Era), and Eleanor Tomlinson. The last adaptation of this series, based on the novel by John Galsworthy, aired back in 2001, and is set in the 1800s.
