✨ POP CULTURE NEWS ONE HUNDRED and FIFTY-THREE: MORE VERSIONS OF POPULAR SHOW ✨ Talking about the #PopCulture stories of the week. #Yellowstone Share on XDiscovering the stories of the week can be a fun and challenging thing. The former because we enjoy a silly and fun pop culture story, and the latter because sometimes there is next to nothing to feature fitting our content. Let’s see what version this week gave us.
POP CULTURE NEWS ONE HUNDRED and FIFTY-THREE
THE DRAMA CONTINUES
After much drama, and beyond just drama, the back and forth of its all, there is new drama on America’s favorite western show. The upcoming series, aka season five b, finale may not be all we see of Yellowstone. Rumor has it the show will have a sixth season. The rumor goes on to say that it would focus on Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser suggesting that at least these two will live there that “b” finale.

In more Yellowstone news, there is a new spinoff in the works and casting news is making the rounds. According to Chris McCarthy, President/CEO, Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios, when speaking about Yellowstone, he says “Within five years, we grew Yellowstone from a hit U.S. cable show with five million viewers into a global hit franchise with over 100 million fans around the world and multiple extensions — and, we’re just getting started.” After prior spinoffs, which have already aired, he went on to say they have “new planned spinoffs, 1944 and 2024 [that] will take audiences on a thrilling, new and unexpected journey with the complex and compelling storytelling that has become a hallmark of the franchise and has helped turn it into a worldwide cultural phenomenon – thanks to the creative mastermind of Taylor Sheridan.”
2024 is, according to some reports, now being called The Madison and will feature Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams (Suits) and Beau Garrett.
LAST THINGS
The upcoming fall season of Dancing with the Stars will return former favorite and pro dancer Whitney Carson to the ballroom. Carson is perhaps best known for winning with former celeb partner Alfonso Ribeiro, who now serves as the show’s host.
Rumor is Netflix will be producing a sequel series to One Tree Hill, the popular teen series that began on WB, which became CW and ran for nine years. Sophia Bush and Hillarie Burton are reportedly returning to reprise their roles (and EP, too), playing mothers to teens of their own. Did you watch this (making an assumption here) dramatic teen series?
Rumor has it that Emma Roberts may lead the eventual biopic about Britney Spears, based on her memoir, The Woman in Me. Roberts, reacting to the news, says this casting would be “my true dream” further saying that this is only “a rumor, but I hope maybe it’ll come true.” Who would you cast as Spears? pop culture news one hundred and fifty-three
