‘THE WISH SWAP’ MAKES A WISH FOR NEW DREAMS
Colorful promotion is the lead in for The Wish Swap, a story about dreams and perhaps finding your people.
The Wish Swap (2025) Hallmark TV Film Review
Celebrating her birthday at a special restaurant is something Casey (Emily Tennant) is looking forward to. The surprise is her friend and co-worker plans a bit of a dinner shindig. Also celebrating his birthday with family is Henry (Jake Foy). Both people make a wish and have big dreams and goals.
Their respective wishes come true, but the catch is, the wishes they get are each other’s.

The promotion of The Wish Swap made things seem like this one would be colorful and fun. It also looked like its affect would be all the cheerful things, and that is precisely what this is. This isn’t the first time that Hallmark has done birthdays as a part of its plot, but it’s another solid title in their string of Loveuary films.
I enjoyed seeing Emily Tennant in something again (she’s one of the less frequent leading ladies on the network) and think she does a good job in the role. Those who adore certain Hallmark stars will also love to see Pascale Hutton in a secondary role. From the short-lived Ride, Jake Foy is also good in the leading man role.
As is my usual final statement (yes, I know, these reviews are repetitive) for anything in this TV romance genre, The Wish Swap is cute. It has all of the normal qualities you’ve come to enjoy which perhaps does make it predictable but also so delightful.
Stream, at publication (next day), with Hallmark+ and Peacock
