Movie number two in Hallmark’s new grouping of stories, Hearts Around the Table: Shari’s Second Act puts new faces in the lead role, and gives us more insight into the lives of these siblings.
Hearts Around the Table: Shari’s Second Act (2025) TV Film Review
A painful breakup is inspiration for Shari (Mishael Morgan) to return home to D.C., for good. She didn’t expect this to be her reality, but here she is. The good thing is, she’s now closer to her siblings and the woman (Mindy Cohn) who made them a family. Next she makes plans. Some of which include trying to reignite her love of art and bigger than this, her artistic talent as a painter.
When she meets Evan (Brendan Morgan), a case of mistaken identity later and he may wind up being the guy who helps her find that part of her again.

The second sibling to receive her story, Shari’s Second Act is, like its predecessor, a good time. There is opportunity to see the other siblings and play “catch up” with them, while also getting to know Shari better. Where this falls, timeline wise, with Jenna’s story isn’t totally clear (it seems to be right after movie one). The plot really highlights the artistic side of her life and the artistry of her work. What’s also fun is to see two new faces in the lead roles!
Both actors, from what I see share no relation despite having the same last name, have appeared in a Hallmark title or two, but not in ones I’ve seen. So seeing actors who I’m not familiar with helps to make the story so much more unique. This love story is sweet and has its moments including getting a little too dramatic. Bottom line, Shari’s Second Act is (again) another cute flick and is a title sure to charm any avid Hallmark movie viewer.
