Hello dear readers. Welcome back on this day, which we set aside to look back on what stories, of the pop culture variety (because we like fun!), were trending from this past week. Some of the stories I think will delight fans of certain TV shows! pop culture news 186

POP CULTURE NEWS 186
By the time I get around to sharing new images of photos for hyped TV shows, everyone and their mum has seen them. I know. But this is a weekly roundup thing here and I feel like I’d be remiss if I didn’t still share some of this. One of these titles of which we speak is the long ago announced NCIS: Tony and Ziva.
The drama is set to follow beloved OG NCIS character Tony DiNozzo (played again by Michael Weatherly) and his long, albeit slow burn lady love Ziva (Cote de Pablo, who joined the NCIS team in season three where she remained a main star until season ten and then guested in season eleven and again in seventeen). The pair eventually had a child together which brings us to this offshoot. The trio are (maybe?) living together and raising their daughter, but then trouble again finds them forcing them on the run! The show will debut as a streaming exclusive this fall (no official date yet) and Paramount+ has unveiled its first photos.
And ET has a brief first look video, too.

POP CULTURE NEWS 186: A POPULAR PERIOD DRAMA TO RETURN + THE ‘NCIS’ UNIVERSE EXPANDS ✨ Talking #Tiva and #TheGildedAge. #PopCulture #TonyandZiva Share on XAccording to multiple sources, but an exclusive for Deadline, Lindsay Lohan has found her next role. She’ll star in the Hulu limited series based on the debut novel called Count My Lies. According to the books Goodreads page, the story is about Sloane Caraway who is, according to its synopsis, “a liar.” The plot further says that these are “harmless lies, mostly, to make her self-proclaimed sad, little life a bit more interesting.” This then leads to her getting a job with “the wealthy, and privileged Jay and Violet Lockhart. The perfect New York couple, with a brownstone, a daughter in private school, and summers on Block Island.”
Also making headlines this week is news that HBO will release season three (no official date yet) of The Gilded Age.
The show is created and penned by Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey, Gosford Park) and follows the lives of old vs new money characters. According to the press release, the show will start after the end of season two and shows the Russells in more of an elevated societal position while the Book household is in a bit of an uproar. Returning cast members include (but aren’t limited to) Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Morgan Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Denée Benton, Taissa Farmiga, and Harry Richardson; new cast members include Phylicia Rashad.
