‘LEVERAGE: REDEMPTION,’ SEASON THREE IS THE BEST FUN AND CON GAMES

Season three of the fan favorite dramedy Leverage: Redemption returns. This time to Prime Video and with the same charming, delightful format as its original show had.

Leverage: Redemption, Season Three (2025) TV Show Review

People still need assistance from the team who provide, well, leverage to the “little guy” in need of help. Their first con job is a big one and the team comes together again to work on a new case load. Parker and Hardison (Beth Riesgraf, Aldis Hodge) are still loving life and each other. They keep their relationship going by having date nights that often include a heist or two. But now Hardison wants change in his future.

Tech genius Breanna (Aleyse Shannon), the foster sister of Hardison, is planning for college. Danger and trouble still find Eliot (Christian Kane) as he returns to be the “hitter,” and protector of Team Leverage. This also means that resident attorney Harry Wilson (Noah Wyle) and boss Sophie Deveraux (Gina Bellman) return to lead everyone. A quiet weekend in Paris gets exciting when the team get involved in a cast about water, and the power broker believing it’s okay to steal clean water in order to make some, well, dirty money!

This show is one that I don’t think enough people talk about. It’s has 8 years (all told if you count the original show simply titled Leverage before this reboot came along) and as a result, like other shows with this longevity, it may no longer invent something new. But its “same old, same old” patterns are too much fun for anyone to care. The show is about putting bad guys in their place and still managing to have fun (and if you’re Sophie, looking fabulous, too) while doing so.

Primarily the reasons for this can be attributed to the fact that the cast continues to return. The core cast continues to return year after year as does the creator and producers, which means there is consistency in how well and how much these types of stories entertain. I love these characters and the cons they pull so much. We may not be seeing Hardison much anymore, but so long as the show keeps him “out there” somewhere and we occasionally see him, I’m just glad he shows up when he does.

Like any other prior ‘Redemption’ season, number three of this one is a grand time. The level of tech that grows isn’t something I love (though I get its culturally relevant), but I love hanging out with these characters and catching up with all that keeps them busy. It’s another season now to be missed and has some fun guest stars, too.

Content: the content is on par with prior years. There may be some minor profanity and of course, there are many fisticuff fights. Someone is shot (in episode two) and there is some blood. The show rates TV14. Note; this is only based on episodes one – two.
