This film is a self-aware title that kind of gently pokes fun at its own genre. It also feels like it has some good easter eggs too, which again, will be fun for anyone who loves watching romcoms, and in particular, the films we see from Hallmark. This one also boasts a favorite leading man star in Penny and Sarah Power is known from the early days Hallmark show Good Witch. She’s also been in some Christmas titles, too.
Much like its trio peers, Love on the Danube: Kissing Stars has an adorable opening and again, the film features some stunning scenes and lovely moments because of the travel. Fun and silly and entertaining, all of these things you’ll find in the film. It’s a good time and the “adventure” of the movie keeps things interesting. The pants bit is funny too.
If you enjoy movies about travel or just this genre of in general, which is Hallmark romantic comedies, then this is definitely one you should add to your must-see list. This one has unnecessary drama with about twenty minutes left but also gives a no-interruption-kiss prior to that built up final seconds’ kiss. So taking the pros and cons, well, there is still plenty to cheer on.
