15 OF THE BOOK COVERS WITH ALL THE SUMMER AESTHETICS
Summertime is officially right around the corner and we all know (or if you visit her often you do!) that I love a good seasonal list. Today’s subject is books and specifically summer book covers! Using book covers as inspiration for a list is always fun since I like to refer to myself as a book cover snob, but sometimes finding things to fit isn’t always easy since I’m also a repeater of the same books (Even though I don’t like to be!). Regardless of these flaws, let’s get to the important things, which today are all the books!
SUMMER BOOK COVERS
PRIDE and PREJUDICE, JANE AUSTEN
This “painted edition” has a lovely summer aesthetic, and I have it preordered, so I’m including it. Goodreads
SUMMERLIN GROVES, ELIZABETH CAMDEN
This one has a perfectly lovely summer aesthetic, plus I do love the color palette too! Goodreads
THE LOVE HATERS, KATHERINE CENTER
Do covers get much more summer-y than this one? The colors, the setting and the plot (which I think involves the Coast Guard). Goodreads
FALLING FOR SUMMER, series
I own two (I think) of the books in this multi author series that is all about the summer-y things. At least this seems true based on the series title and those covers! I haven’t, as is the norm, read any of them yet. Goodreads
STATE of GRACE (SERIES), TAMMY L. GRAY
These books both paint an ideal summer scene. Goodreads
MEET ME AT THE FUDGE SHOP, LINDSAY HARREL
Look how sweet this one looks? It’s one I have on preorder too so technically not on my actually shelves, but it seems like it would be fun. Goodreads
JUST a KISS, DENISE HUNTER
The romanticism of these covers suggests this one is high on a love story, but then that pretty sunset peeking through gives off summer time! Also, yes, I did once read this book, but it was too long ago. Remembering specific details is simply too much to ask, though I do think I loved it at the time. Goodreads

PICKLEBALLERS, ILANA LONG
This one looks like fun and given that it’s about a current trend, it kind of seems as though it would also have summertime elements inside the cover as well as outside. Goodreads
ANNE of GREEN GABLES, L.M. MONTGOMERY
This “painted edition” is very summer like with its meadow-like scene and apple trees. Goodreads
ONCE UPON a SUMMER and A QUIET STRENGTH, JANETTE OKE
I read these book (both of them) years ago. The one is being added because it has summer in its title and the other just seems to have a nice summer-y scene. They are also getting a shoutout because look at how dated the styling is compared to now. It’s fun to see the trends though and how designers change so much. ‘Summer’ on Goodreads • ‘Strength’ on Goodreads
DASHED, AMANDA QUAIN
This is a loose Sense and Sensibility retelling so of course that’s an immediate yes. But then the palm tress and colors also makes this seem like a fun summer read not to miss! Goodreads
LOVE, NATURALLY, SOPHIE SULLIVAN
This has all the summer colors and “appeal” while also involving a camping trip so it also has to be a story about summer things, too, right? Goodreads
CODE WORD ROMANCE, CARLIE WALKER
I Just read a review for this one and it sounds like it’d be a fun read. Naturally I preordered this one and so I had to include it on this list because look at all that summer in the cover art. Goodreads
THE SUMMMER of YES, COURTNEY WALSH
I mean this one “screams” summertime! Additionally, it has a road trip theme, too. Goodreads

I think so! Some more so than others, but they still fit. :)
I love seeing sunsets on book covers.
Same! They are so pretty in real life that it’s nice to see them used in design too. :)
I do love that cover for The Love Haters so much! It’s the perfect summery cover :)
I agree! Those colors and the “picture,” all seem to scream summertime! :)
I have read six of these, great list! I recently read Just A Kiss, I finished off that series by Denise Hunter :) Have a great rest of your week!
YAY! Always fun when you recognize books on a list and better yet, you’ve read some! :)
For sure, and when you find new ones as well!
MEET ME AT THE FUDGE SHOP does look cute. Also, I love fudge. It’s something I associate with summer since every seaside or tourist town I’ve been to seems to have at least one fudge shop…not that I’m complaining!
Happy TTT!

So true, Susan! Fudge does seem to be a popular tourist-y thing to sell. :)
