FIVE OF THE BEST ROMANCES FROM 2025’S CHRISTMAS MOVIES
In 2022, which was really a collection of characters from 2021’s Christmas movies, I posted a list of favorite romances from Christmas movies. Remembering this, though not the year (how was it that long ago?), I added this to my editorial list of 2025, and thought it could be fun to feature the best romance couples from Christmas movies this year too. This is for no other reason than fun and we talk about romance-y things quite a lot, too.

FIVE OF THE BEST ROMANCES FROM 2025’S CHRISTMAS MOVIES. Looking at five of our favorite couples from 2025’s #ChristmasMovies. #Romance #Christmas #ChristmasRomance Share on XTo be honest, as I write this, I don’t know if there are any couples off the top of my head I’d put on this list. However, I’m going to hope my memory is failing me and there are some who deserve a little shout-out. Also, while we are well over halfway through this season, if I meet more who absolutely deserve aforementioned shout-out, I’ll add them! Let’s (hopefully) meet these couples.
BEST ROMANCE COUPLES from CHRISTMAS MOVIES 2025

JAKE and ELLA from CHRISTMAS ABOVE the CLOUDS
A Hallmark film, this one really did surprise me. It’s a retelling of A Christmas Carol and in addition to not being a fan of the story (although I can appreciate its themes of redemption), I think I’ve seen this one retold enough. That said, this one did pleasantly surprise and I loved this couple. The meet cute that becomes a first date is darling and I love the laid-back (attributed to the actor) nature of the leading man that contrasts with the more uptight nature of Ella, who in this scenario is the Ebeneezer Scrooge character. Tyler Hynes and Erin Krakow play these characters.

HENRI and SYDNEY from CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS
Of the Netflix movies, I have to pick these two as my most favorite. I really liked one other couple too, but I think that was less romantic than this film which feels more like a “true” kind of romantic dramady (of the lighthearted variety of course). Plus, I did like Minka Kelly in her role as Syndey and though that the meet cute was, well, cute. christmas romance couples

TED COOPER and HOPE from MERRY CHRISTMAS, TED COOPER!
I really did like these two together. There is a nice banter and someone still “cute” awkwardness that I think anyone (unless you’re that confident) deals with when you like someone but it’s all very new.

ANNIE and DAVE from WE MET in DECEMBER
These two are so sweet together. The movie doesn’t give them a lot of screentime because of how the story unfolds, but it is here and what’s here is sweet. Plus, I like that there is the acknowledgment that, even in a first meeting, these two do like each other rather than this being a story about skirting around the obvious.

COOPER and NELL from SINGLE on the 25th
Dare I admit that these two are my most favorite Christmas romance couples in… well, possibly a long time? I loved their romance and enjoyed the banter they shared. Hallmark favorite Daniel Lissing plays hero while his co-lead is newer-to-the-network star Lyndsy Fonseca and together, they play these characters with fun, ease and wit. The movie is also, surprisingly, more romantic than some of its peers.

BONUS! SAM and EMILY from MISTLETOE MURDERS
I’m not sure these two fully count since this show dropped to streaming in 2024 and made its linear debut in 2025. Regardless, I’m making the rules so I’m including them. I think Hallmark’s Mistletoe Murders is really quite good and I really like these two together – so much!
