Being teammates is something that friends Naomi and Marcus (Amy Groening, Evan Roderick) enjoy and do well. It’s also a place where their friendship thrives. Leading up to Valentine’s Day, the beloved restaurant where they work and manage is about to be sold which prompts Naomi to propose a business deal where they’d take over, and the owner would remain a silent business partner.
In the hopes of making restaurant changes, they decide to compete in a mocktail competition, which they are uniquely qualified for. Things start out well and then cupid’s arrow strikes which gives them both an entirely new perspective.

All of the decor is perfectly pink and sparkling with the enchantment of the day. From shiny hearts to the cupid story, it’s definitely an ideal watch romance.
Helping to make it so is the cast. We see Amy return to leading heroine role after how she charmed fans in the Christmas film, which is 2024’s Twas the Date Before Christmas. She plays her role well and again seeing her in this role makes us hope this won’t be the last we see her in a role like this. It’s also fun to see Evan Roderick in a leading role yet again, and furthermore to see these two as a new pairing.
With its bright and fun decor, and the delightful romance, this film is worth watching. I love the quiet romantic antics and the premise that does come off as more unique. In other words, I thoroughly enjoyed Because of Cupid. It’s an ideally perfect movie to enjoy on this Valentine’s Day and also will be a lovely title to add to your rewatch list when you want to see a movie centering on this love holiday.
