‘VANISHED’ IS NEW MYSTERY THRILLER FROM MGM+

As the follow up to her last TV role (which was The Flight Attendant), Kaley Cuoco plays a woman on the run in this 2026 MGM+ drama Vanished.

Vanished (2026) MGM+ TV Show Review

Their respective jet-setting careers often keep Alice Monroe (Kaley Cuoco) and her boyfriend Tom Parker (Sam Claflin) going in different directions. But when they meet up, it matters and for Alice it’s meaningful. Her next step is to take a more stable job, which inspires her to propose they put down some roots and build a life.

Tom seems to agree, but then during their latest trip together in France, Tom disappears from a moving train.

This sends Alice on a journey to discover what happened, which then reveals some secrets neither of them expects.

This is a show I’ve seen making the rounds for a while now on various pop culture sites, and it’s also been promoted because of Kaley Cuoco. Formerly starring in the long-running comedy The Big Bang Theory and later the drama The Flight Attendant, Cuoco proves she has an impressive range to pull of different genres. Prior to this I think all I’d seen her in is a cute little TV movie (and some of 8 Simple Rules), so watching her in this felt like meeting a new performer, and she carries the role well. So far anyway.

TV SHOW REVIEW | ‘SEVEN DIALS’: SEE THE LATEST QUEEN OF MYSTERY ADAPTATION

The show starts off with an adrenaline rush and immediately puts us on edge, and Alice in danger though we don’t know why. Then it backpedals to a week earlier as we see her and Tom meet up and then learn what sets her on this path. The show is set to have four episodes, and I think one episode a week is going to drop. This will help foster the danger I am sure and make us more curious as to what comes next. As a way of showing more, Vanished (2026) also backpedals a few times to look back on the history between Alice and Tom.

So far, I think this thriller is very good. The scenery is pretty, which adds some softness, and the story is set up to make us curious. It also ends at just the right reveal, making us want to know what it means, and better still what’s next. Knowing very little, I already want this to end happy even with the genre this is tagged with. Beyond this, the show is a guessing game because we have to wait and see what Alice does next!

Stream, at publication, episode one of Vanished (2026) now on the MGM+ Prime Video add on; with the MGMPlus.com subscription; or catch it tonight at 9 p.m. on MGM+

Content: the show has a sex scene in the first five minutes. We see the pair make out and undress each other before the “after” scene shows them talking in bed together. There is some profanity and violence; someone threatens a person with a knife before the scene cuts away. The show is rated two different classifications. On its Prime Video page, it has a 13+ rating and then when the show starts it tags as TV-MA. Note, this is only the content in episode one.
