‘A LITTLE PARK MUSIC’: A ROMANTIC-COMEDY WITH MAGIC
Pulling in whimsy, A Little Park Music pairs up a good co-lead duo and sets out to be a little more unique.

Hard-working and organized is what makes Allie Ferguson (Laci J Mailey) a great city manager. She also likes to, well, bend the rules a bit which helps her to get things done, but a mysterious piano appearing in the town’s gazebo is one thing she doesn’t have a plan for. Especially when the conditions of a grant means that the gazebo is about to be demolished.
Together with the by-the-book local cop, Ryan (Beau Mirchoff), the pair work on the why and how of this piano only to find that removing it may not be so simple.

It dabbles in elements of magic (albeit the realistic kind), and brings its lovebirds together with that. Laci is a familiar face since her lovable role as Jess in Hallmark’s Chesapeake Shores, however Beau is someone we haven’t seen as often in these, but just the same, I liked them together. I also like that his character has as profession we don’t often see in Hallmark titles (at least not in the rom-coms) and of course that the vibes are decidedly spring!
As is always (or 99% of the time) my concluding words for any Hallmark rom-com, yes, this one also falls into the cute and charming brand. A Little Park Music tries something different, and for the most part, I think it will delight anyone who loves these because of what they are, which is a feel-good movie that makes its viewer smile.
