The next to final Spring into Love title, To Philly with Love is, as usual, another charming Hallmark original.

Making historical discoveries is something that Emily (Rebecca Dalton) always delights in. Things she used to do with her grandmother have shaped who she is and helps make her a great teacher. However, the preservation, and more exciting decoding, of Revolutionary War love letters her grandmother was researching now occupies her time. This unexpected new project may require a little bit of help.
This leads her to an archivist named Nathan Callahan (Stephen Huszar) and while working together, they experience Philadelphia in a new way as they chase clues.

Share on XWith the usual romantic-comedy flair Hallmark is known for, To Philly with Love is one of those movies that puts one in mind of movies like National Treasure or any kind of treasure hunting adventure. Of course, this one has a very light-hearted, cute beat (including a meet cute that sounds bells!) which is what we know and love from the network. There are also lots of very Philadelphia coded exterior shots, too.
The film has some fun clues that the script writes into the story for Emily and Nate to decode as the viewer also tries to discover where the next clue may take the lead characters. Everyone is likable and the concept a kind of hybrid of the network’s rom-com and mysteries, so it’s the best of both worlds for viewers who enjoy both. In other words, you’ll want to watch To Philly with Love if you enjoy the weekly debuts with Hallmark.

Since my daughter and I visited Philly last summer, I feel like we missed so much because I was not feeling well and it was raining outside. I love history because my ancestors on my mother’s side of the family date back to the 1600’s so I’m looking forward to this movie and watching history come alive. My next adventure goes to the 6 New England states starting at my Connecticut cousins city of Hartford.
I’m sorry you didn’t get to see as much on your trip. Hope you can have another trip sometime, but in the meantime I hope you enjoy your next trip and all of the fun things to see there. :)
