REASONS we ENJOY THE HUNCHBACK of NOTRE DAME
THE COLORS
This one has a great sense of “color” which is something modern movie goers seem to be missing lately. Most Disney flicks do have color and it’s lovely and of course, does make the film more vibrant. Color can seem like a part of the story, adding life and movement and joy to a film, and I think films like this does this well.
THE HERO
The hero of this story isn’t traditional and in fact isn’t who some would perhaps tag as a hero, but Quasimodo is a noble and good person and honestly, I miss these kinds of characters in film. Are there things that hold him back or are his emotions complicated? Sure. But when it comes down to is, he is able to break from from these things and steps up when he needs to. For the most part, he finds goodness in life and keeps his spirit despite these drawbacks and the terrible ways someone takes advantage of him. Its likely Quasi who is the biggest reason why I still enjoy The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

THE JOY
This film has the typical villainous story (one that some, like its peer films, may say is too scary) but this film also has lots of joy and I am here for it.
THE STORY
The story is one of overcoming and becoming and friendship. Even for an animated flick, it’s inspiring and we love it because those kind of stories make us feel good and really, is there any better kind of journey to go on?

This is such a great film. : ) <3 I love all of the characters (minus Frollo, of course) but Quasimodo is my favorite. The way he still keeps his big heart and kind soul despite everything he's been through is truly inspiring. : ) <3
