ACORN TV SEPTEMBER 2026: WHAT’S NEW?
September is the next incoming month and as is the tradition, it’s time to take a look at what’s coming to networks or streaming services frequently featured here. Today’s topic is the Acorn TV September 2026 schedule! From a new cozy mystery (that continues this month) to the continuation of an intense thriller, here is what you’ll find making a debut on the streaming in this next month.
ACORN TV SEPTEMBER 2026 SCHEDULE
BLUE MURDER MOTEL – SEPTEMBER 7
Described as an Acorn TV Original, this show is, like we would expect another fun and cozy mystery that is perhaps slightly darker than some of its Acorn TV peers. Still, you won’t want to miss it! The concept is a married couple who are now retired from detective work, and instead now run a small seaside motel. However, as is always true of any of our sleuths, trouble and murder soon finds them when they become involved in a series of “baffling” cases.
Episode 3, “A Thousand Dreadful Things” Synopsis: A murder at Shady Vista Holiday Park ignites guest conflicts. Constable Jamie Haira recruits retired detectives Vinny and Cole, disrupting their peaceful coastal retirement plans. – via Acorn TV / AMC Networks
New episodes continue to drop on Mondays throughout September!
THE ASSASSIN – SEPTEMBER 7
I did watch part of this when it debuted with AMC, and it was super interesting with a great cast. Keely Hawes stars as a woman who has retired from her work as a government assassin and when her estranged son (who Freddie Highmore plays) comes to visit and to share news, the dangers of her past crop up to threaten them both.
Episode 2 Synopsis: Julie and Edward struggle to keep their cover and her past secret while staying with new hosts, until an unexpected visitor makes everything more difficult. – via Acorn TV / AMC Networks
New episodes continue to drop on Mondays throughout September!
THE SOMMERDAHL MURDERS, SEASON 7 – SEPTEMBER 7
This is described as a “Danish-language drama” following the titular DCI, an investigator who solves murders and cases in a “lovely Danish coastal town.” Of course, like any crime drama, he has a partner, and in this one, it’s criminal technician Marianne, and a fellow Detective Torp.
This is an eight episode binge drop of Season 7.
Stream, at publication, the above titles on their premiere date exclusively with Acorn TV
