‘HARRY WILD,’ SERIES FOUR: A FIRST IMPRESSION OF THE REALLY GOOD JANE SEYMOUR DRAMA

Returning for its fourth season is one of the most interesting (and mostly lighthearted, too) mystery series which is Harry Wild. Season four gets underway with some darker challenges, making us have to ask, will they linger?

Things are picking up and stabilizing for the Wild/Reid detective agency. A steady stream of clients come through the doors and then there are the cases that find the duo of Harry Wild (Jane Seymour) and Fergus Reid (Rohan Nedd). The retired professor finds her days full now that she has a business, and the college bound graduate is taking a gap year so that he and his girlfriend can attend university together.

On this new workday, they to find an unusual client on their doorstep. Their latest case comes from Harry’s son Charlie (Kevin Ryan), a high-ranking member of the police which means he is always loathe for his mother to be tangled up in crimes. Same as with last time I wrote about Harry Wild or really any of the TV dramas that I see and that debut under the Acorn TV banner, this show is good. This one brings back the familiar characters and will very likely will be a season that throws it back to this first fourth season episode in a future story we’ve yet to see unfold. This show has fun with its humor, including being very self-aware in one regard and poking fun of this (with a cast change).harry wild season four

What I find so dang entertaining about this series is the “odd couple” fairing of young Fergus and retiree Harry. It’s a bit unusual compared to most crime dramedies and the fact that one half of the team isn’t a cop also makes it unique. The start of series four is again charming and challenging (in a good way) and of course, we suffer the “just one more episode” syndrome when watching this show.

In the end, this next season of Harry Wild is worth adding to your list of must see TV!

Sincere thanks to Acorn TV for the opportunity to screen this series. All opinions are my own.

Content: nothing to note outside of the usual murder scenes. Prior series did use (or the Prime Video Acorn TV episodes do) the F-word here and there. Harry Wild season four is TV-14. Please note: this content doesn’t reflect what is in the rest of the episodes.
