12 Dates of Christmas (2026) Hulu Film Review
Successful in almost every corner of her life, the one thing that business owner Christina Walker (Lucy Hale) hasn’t accomplished is meeting her soul mate. Using all her energy to build her business leaves little time for dating and it’s for this reason that she has allowed her dating life to go by the wayside.
However, with family pressure and seeing her sisters happy comes a promise to her mother that by next Christmas, she will have a date! In the hopes of finding Mr. Right, Christina lets her bestie use the apps to set up 12 dates leading up to Christmas, all with the idea that the right guy may be out there.
FILM REVIEW | ‘40 DATES AND 40 NIGHTS’: A ROM-COM 2026 WILL LOVE
‘12 DATES OF CHRISTMAS’: ROM-COM WITH A LITTLE SEASONAL MAGIC Share on XContrary to the title, this is a new for 2026 film that has a new cast. It’s also a film that had very little fanfare leading into it popping up on Hulu (and also Disney+). What did make its arrival inspire a little bit of excitement is the nostalgia. It has Lucy Hale in the lead and reunites her with a former co-star. Her co-stars include Penelope Ann Miller, Paul Ben-Victor, Greer Grammer, Carter Jenkins and Ian Harding, who is the reunion co-star for her. Harding and Hale both starred on Pretty Little Liars back in the day, and in a cinematic world that currently loves looking back, this made fans curious.
Outside of this reunion, 12 Dates of Christmas is another piece of fluff that is ideally perfect to enjoy this time of year. The story of a woman accepting a dating challenge isn’t new, but it’s always cute. The same is true of this film and while it’s not a show that I’m attached to, it is nice to see the co-star reunion. I have liked Harding in many Hallmark film and more recently in Ripple. The ending also sets up as cute before the misunderstanding ruins things. Still there is sweetness. All around, this film is perfect for any Christmas movie fan. So, settle in, enjoy the nostalgia and allow the movie and its cast to charm you.
Stream, at publication, 12 Dates of Christmas with Disney+ or Hulu
Content: This one is TV-14 and has some innuendo. Though more of a PG-13 rating, there really isn’t a lot of things to call out.
