‘CHRISTMAS AT PLUMHILL MANOR’ HAS A CHARMING SETTING AND CHARACTERS
The first (and will it be only?) 2024 Lifetime Christmas movie I’ve seen, Christmas at Plumhill Manor isn’t without its usual TV movie flaws, but it’s also sweet.
Christmas at Plumhill Manor (2024) Lifetime TV Film Review
Working hard is something Margot Stone (Maria Menounos) does well. She works at an architect firm and is heading up towards a top spot using her wit and impressive business skills. All of which doesn’t go unnoticed by her boss. When an unexpected inheritance from a great aunt she never knew finds her, Margot heads across the pond to spend a Christmas in the English countryside. All so that she can meet the terms of her aunt’s will which is that she’ll spend a week at the manor.
This begins a Christmas Margot never expects as she tries to discover what it is her aunt left behind for her to learn.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘TRADING UP CHRISTMAS’: A COLORFUL AND SWEET HALLMARK MOVIE
‘CHRISTMAS AT PLUMHILL MANOR’ HAS A CHARMING SETTING AND CHARACTERS. Review of the 2024 #ChristmasMovie with Maria Menounos. #ChristmasMovies #TVMovie #Romance Share on XDespite being a Christmas movie with the same kind of set up, Christmas at Plumhill Manor is actually sweet. It has period drama references which is always easy winning points for me. The script also manages to “spice” things up a bit while still being very closed door. Playing into this too are leads who are actually good in their respective roles and I quite enjoyed their scenes together. The manor is of course charming which is a big reasons why the film works and while the set up of the film or the general scenes are the same, this setting make things seem a little different.
Christmas at Plumhill Manor is one of the better Lifetime movies I’ve seen. It’s sweet and for the most part, I like the scenes between the leads together even though some of their interactions seem quite limiting. Cute and entertaining, the film is a good movie to watch if you love the genre.

Content: These (from Lifetime) are usually more of a TV-14 rating because of more sensuality. This one implies an overnight together that starts with kissing and cuts to a “morning after” scene in the kitchen (both characters are clothed) as they banter over breakfast.
