WELCOMING THE NEW! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014!
2013 is mere hours away from ending and wow! I know all of us will have some form of reaction to filing away another year but seriously, it is scary how these days turn into weeks and eventually in the blink of an eye another calendar year is in the past. I’m told that my reaction to this is because I’m getting “old,” however I don’t buy that logic. happy new year 2014
WELCOMING THE NEW! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014! #FWarchives Share on XEach New Year brings challenges and new lessons to grasp and I feel like 2013 was a great year for that in my world; makes me happy to reflect on the good – and even the bad, of these past 12 months because in the end, each new day is a gift. 2014 is full of promise already and bright new challenges to face not the least of which is working with the INSPYs (speaking of which, do make sure to nominate your favorite books, nominations close January 16th) and I’m very much anticipating setting out some new goals for myself in this coming year. (PS: you may also want to keep an eye out for the first giveaway of the year next week!) Tonight
as I spend the evening with family, watching movies and getting ready to welcome a new year, I’m also going to be remembering 2013 as one of the good years in our past. In many ways, it felt like a “turning point” of the best kind.
How was your year, friends? Wishing you all a wonderful, safe, happy and healthy 2014! Cannot wait for another year of laughs writing and friendship; thanks for being a part of this readership.
Happy New Year, Rissi! :)
Right back atcha, Melanie. Hope it's a good year for you and yours. :)
I feel like I grew up a lot in 2013–not sure how much of this is my imagination, though ;) I wonder what I'll think of myself next year as I look back on myself now.
Happy New Year, Rissi!
I think each year that passes matures us all in some way, Hannah. That is the mark of a "good year" because we should never stop growing or learning. Here's to another great year, Hannah; hope it's great.
Happy New Year 2014!
I'm experiencing the same thing with time moving so fast…in fact I even mentioned it in my blog post detailing the results of my 2013 book challenges, though I certainly didn't word it near as eloquently as you did. :) It's nice to know this time-flying phenomenon is shared by other people, though. It really is true that the older I get the faster time seems to go. It honestly IS scary, and I think I need to make some changes this year. It's time for a major dose of ambition and courage.
So glad to have stumbled upon your blog way back when. I really enjoy reading it. :)
Time has been moving "too fast" for a few years now. Everyone tells me it's because I'm getting older… they'll excuse me if I don't believe them. ;) I'm right there with you, Valerie. I have a couple of WIP's and I was planning on finishing one in 2013, but here we are… so, that leaves 2014 as "the year" and I'm hoping this will be a good year to at least finish one. If I do anything once it's done is a completely different story however I'd like to prove to myself that if I'm ambitious enough, I CAN finish it. :)
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad to have met you also, Valerie – here's to another great bookish year, right?! :)
I loved 2013. I'm gonna miss her.
I can't wait to see what 2014 holds.
Happy New Year my sweet friend.
Me, too, Juju. Hoping 2014 is a good one, too. :)
Happy New Year, friend! Hope you and Family Whimsy had fun ringing it in.
Happy 2014 to you too Rissi! Hope there's more fun and adventures to be had in the new year for you!
Right back atcha, Natalie. Hope 2014 holds wonderful things for you and yours. :)
I so agree with you on how fast the time/year goes by! Here I am at 2nd of January and I'm commenting on your New Year's Eve post…
I know, right!? How is it the 2nd… already! I mean, the day is half over here. *sigh* Time just keeps marching on.
Happy New Year, Birdie. :)
