#Booktube Talk | The Booktube Newbie Tag 2.0

Hello, everyone. It’s time for another booktube tag. Our victim today? The Booktube Newbie Tag.

Given that I’ve been on Youtube for 2 years (whaaat!), I’m not sure why I decided to join this tag, but since we’re all about having fun with boktube tags, I thought why not!! It seems like a good way to meet new booktubers, and also is fun because I get to talk a bit about things specific to booktube.

So here we are about to join the Booktube Newbie Tag.

As is the usual rule, I answer some of these Qs over on the (now deleted) channel and the rest down below. Let’s get to answering all those Qs!

#Booktube Talk | The Booktube Newbie Tag 2.0

5: What videos other than tags, TBR’s, wrap-ups, reviews and recommendations would you want to see more of? I enjoy everything I’ve seen on Booktube. Tags are always fun (and cannot criticize them since I publish a ton), and since I love making Book Hauls/Wrap Up videos, I enjoy watching them from others. Recommendation videos are also fun. Tell me, what kinds of recommendation videos would you want to see?

6: What are some themes you want to see more of or less of in books? Hmm… good question. I don’t know that I can say there’s any one theme I’d like to see less of. I do feel like YA series are getting a little out of hand (when it comes to the number of books in a series), and I also do not like when novels put excessive profanity into their pages for NO purpose other than because “they can” (i.e., the genre allows it). The love triangle with a wishy-washy girl can also be gone. Mostly, I’m an easy to please reader, so I don’t feel as if I will for less of something. Most of the time.

9: What are some qualities or traits that you look for when it comes to watching other BookTubers? Great personalities or attitudes. I think (and this goes to a question I answer in the video) when the booktuber seems to be having fun, then it’s all the more fun for us to watch. Good filming quality is important too; something I know I need to improve on.

10: What is a fun fact about you or a hobby besides reading and writing that people on BookTube might not know you have? I don’t know that I really have a hobby besides this world (reviewing/writing, booktube, blogging). In the last 2 years (or so), I have developed a real love for photography, but even that ties into my bookish hobbies.

11: Which BookTubers do you tag? Sorry!! I forgot to tag some lovely booktubers. If you – booktuber or blogger, wish to join, please do. Just, please, circle back here with your link so I can have a look.

Q’s answered on the Booktube Channel:

1: What genres would you like to see talked about more on BookTube?
2: What do you feel is the best way(s) to make friends on BookTube?
3: What will/ do you enjoy the most about making BookTube videos?
4: What will/do you least look forward to when making BookTube videos?
7: What are some of your BookTube goals?
8: What advice would you give to a BookTuber that has just created their channel?
