New Matchmaker Mystery ‘A Fatal Romance’ Inspires a Case!

Returning as the popular match-maker, Danica McKeller reprises her role as Angie Dove in the new Matchmaker Mysteries: A Fatal Romance installment. This time the TV host nervously prepares to moderate an author panel when she comes face to face with her ex-boyfriend, Ethan. Stunned, Angie isn’t sure how to feel, but she’s soon distracted when she receives a visit from detective Kyle Cooper (Victor Webster). It would seem one of the authors on the panel has suddenly died from poisoning which makes everyone at the convention a suspect.

As the investigation progresses, Angie learns Ethan is their number one suspect, but disbelieving of this, she works to find the clues and answers that will exonerate him.

Matchmaker Mysteries: A Fatal Romance (2020) Hallmark Mystery Review

Keeping up with their many mystery movie series, ‘A Fatal Romance’ is just another in the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries lineup to earn another installment, the second of the series. This one feels pretty similar to its debut mystery. But for those who like seeing the same characters as they go through their lives in a series of movies, then this will no doubt be something the mystery channel fans enjoy.

McKeller’s Angie Dove continues to press the button on investigating things that she perhaps shouldn’t; but having learned from the best, her former police chief father (played by Bruce Boxleitner), she persists. It’s these encounters and how she always finds ways to investigate, and eventually how Detective Cooper lets her tag along, that make this fun.

If you enjoyed this newer mystery series after its ‘Killer Engagement’ than you’re sure to find all the same kinds of fun clues and sleuthing in this!

Catch the debut of Matchmaker Mysteries: A Fatal Romance tonight, April 25th. It will air on both Hallmark Movies and Mysteries and Hallmark Channel.
