FILM REVIEW | How to ‘Win a Date with Tad Hamilton’ in this Funny RomCom
Eli is everything Penelope should say “yes” to. He’s good and kind, moral and handsome, too. The trouble is, he’s a fighter pilot, and having seen her friends heartbreak from military relationships, Penelope refuses to put her heart in this position. But when the pair must work together, it gives Eli the chance to press his case, and Penelope more opportunity to convince herself she’s right.
TAKE A CHANCE ON ME, by Becky Wade | Novella Review
REVIEW | Operating as a kind of launch to author Becky Wade’s ‘Misty River’ romance series, this short 100-some page novella will certainly pique your curiosity. The story flies by given its novella tag, but the characters sharing history helps to shore up their relationship.
Still, despite its tiny form, the story doesn’t skimp. There’s family trauma, sibling bonds, career complications and of course, the aforementioned romance, which is lovely. Eli and Penelope are hard not to like or at the very least, Eli is! (Because I have a thing for a good military hero.) He’s the ideal hero, which perhaps makes us question the object of his affection, at least once. *smile*
To say more will be to give too much of this Take a Chance on Me book away. If you haven’t read a novel by Wade, then this will be a lovely start. If you have, just know her latest will be sure to find its way into your bookish heart.
