TV FILM REVIEW | ‘BEAUTY & THE BRIEFCASE’: HILARY DUFF IN A FUN MISTAKEN IDENTITY ROMCOM
‘THE WEDDING DO-OVER’: A SWEET PIXL ROMANTIC COMEDY #Movies #CleanRomance Share on XWatched this one a while back, and honestly, forgot about it. But as I looked for some new content to add to the site, one thing I’m reminded of is that The Wedding Do-Over is cute. I don’t love everything about it, including the almost outlandish wedding disaster sequence, but it’s fun. There’s lots of cute and comforting romantic comedy moments (almost like a kind of revisiting of high school; throwing pebbles) and I really like the leading man, whom I don’t think I’ve seen before. The entire cast is cute together, and I also like the subplot about the wedding couple. There’s some realism in their relationship, and of course I’m a softie for a military character.
One of the funny things to see is Jen Lilley in a supporting role over the main leading heroine. There’s lots of weddings if that’s your thing and different looks and colors to go with each one. Lots of shenanigans and as with anything like this, strong family ties form to make this work. It’s a sweet romance that is sure to charm anyone who likes stories about coming home.
Content: This is another of the clean romantic-comedy movies with a TV-G rating.
