‘THE LOSERS’: A KIND OF ‘A-TEAM’ POPCORN ADVENTURE MOVIE
Now and then, I play a random movie on one of the “free” apps loaded on my device. One of the more recent films is The Losers, something I know next to nothing about, but hoped one of its leading stars would make it worth the watch.
The Losers (2010) Film Review
A small but pretty elite team of U.S. soldiers is currently in the Bolivian jungle to take out a very bad dude. Trouble is, just before their entry, they spot a group of kids on the compound. Radioing in, they suggest aborting the mission only the order is to carry it out. Racing against the incoming missiles, the team saves the kids but in the escape, a missile impacts the chopper, and they die. Since the five-man team should have been on the chopper, their leader Clay (Jeffery Dean Morgan) decides to make it look like they too die. Now, it’s time to find the man who ordered the hit and get vengeance on those lives lost.
This isn’t the best kind of film in terms of poignant or giving its audience more, but goodness, it’s pretty dang entertaining. The cast also consists of Oscar Jaenada, Idris Elba, Chris Evans and Zoe Salanda. Aside from its surprising star power the additional popular names outside of just Evans does surprise me), there’s a (mostly) fun theme here. Sure, it’s about revenge and hunting down a bad guy, but like so many said back when it released, it’s got a kind of A-Team quality that is pretty impossible to notice. the losers

‘THE LOSERS’: A KIND OF ‘A-TEAM’ POPCORN ADVENTURE MOVIE #COMEDY #FUNMOVIES #ACTIONMOVIES #CHRISEVANS #MOVIES Share on XThe action sequences are fun and entertaining, and there’s a whole Mr. and Mrs. Smith type scene in a hotel room. Jensen (Evans) also gets a hilarious scene in an office building, and I had to giggle over the Captain America reference. There’s good banter between everyone and some unexpected turns in the plot. If you’re into high action kind of films, there’s lots of fiery action scenes and generally, excitement. the losers
All in all, this is a fun time. It’s not revolutionary, but for something I hadn’t seen yet, it could be an underrated frothy, popcorn action flick.
Content: There’s violence [men die from hand to hand combat, impacts of cars or a bullet]. There’s lot of high powered weapon shoot outs. There’s a sexual tense scene [fighting] between two people; and later we see them undress each other [the scene cuts to later with them lying under a blanket]. There’s some crude humor and profanity [sh*t, an f-word]. The film is PG-13.
