‘THIS LITTLE LOVE OF MINE’: A CUTE ROM-COM IF YOU LIKE SIMPLE
Another sweet and simple rom-com is this little title. It follows the career conscious Laura (Saskia Hampele). It’s this drive that she, along with her fiancé, allows to continue to push back wedding plans. When her firm’s latest client requires she head back to her hometown, Laura’s fiancé seems to have no desire to go with her and again requests they delay their nuptials. After all, both have new promotions on the horizon.
Solo, Laura leaves for her hometown where she’s tasked to try and convince her client’s grandson, Chip (Liam McIntyre) it’s time to take over the company. This also happens to a reunion for Laura as Chip was her childhood best friend.

‘THIS LITTLE LOVE OF MINE’: A CUTE ROM-COM IF YOU LIKE SIMPLE #MOVIES #NETFLIX #ROMCOMS #CLEANROMANCE Share on XAlthough their volume isn’t nearly as great as certain network TV stations, Netflix has had some of those “clean romance” cute movies that make you smile. This Little Love Of Mine is one of these though there’s some annoying aspects. One is the opening that’s a bit too “perky” (do you know anyone who wakes THAT happy?) and another is more confusing than “bad” per se. You see the film takes place in Australia and has aussie actors, but’s there’s nary a trace of the accents! Like, my question is, why!? In case filmmakers didn’t know this, we’re always HERE for the accents!
Beyond this, the film IS cute. Sure there’s some “awkward” moments in the script, but sometimes I think that’s intentional (Georgia Harrison also wrote Rip Tide) and some of the staging feels “off.” Again though, overall, if you want something to watch that you can “shut off” your brain and enjoy, this is cute. I like the sweet moments between Laura and Chip, and also appreciate how the boyfriend storyline resolves and goes do. It’s WAY classier than most.
If you have Netflix and want something sweet, this is just that. Plus, there’s some REALLY pretty beach-y scenes, too.

Content: this one has nothing to note. The film is TV-G.
I JUST watched this and liked it. I didn’t know it was set in Australia, just figured it was one of those random, unnamed and imaginary locales. I thought the two leads came across very sincere.
