THE FALL 2021 TBR NOVELS I MAY READ (BUT PROBABLY WON’T)

by

Ah, autumn. Here you are on the cusp of official arrival and while I don’t like the 90s, I would be lying if I said I’m sad summer is gone. But now we’re the time of year again when we talk TBRs, or specifically fall 2021 TBR novels. Like always, the chances of me reading all of this during fall is slim (maybe less than slim since I’m not really reading now), but I still love finding appropriate books to chat up.

Like normal, some of these will feature books already on my shelf because, guys, I need to be better about reading the books ON (not off) my bookshelf. Let’s take a look at the books I likely would (and maybe will) read during this autumn 2021 season. Here. We. Go.

FALL 2021 TBR NOVELS

1: MOMENTS LIKE THIS, ANNA GOMEZ AND KRISTOFFER POLAHA

I actually did start this one and am enjoying it. Not very far into it though yet, but it follows a woman who, with disappointment in her life, decides to head to Hawaii to work at her friend’s restaurant where she meets a variety of interesting people. Had to pick this one up because I love Polaha as an actor. Goodreads

2: THE WIFE UPSTAIRS, RACHEL HAWKINS

This is a modern re-telling (loose I think) of Jane Eyre. So, naturally I feel as though it’d be a great one to read for autumn. Goodreads

3: THROW LIKE A GIRL, SARAH HENNING

This just seems like a cute little contemporary novel (about a girl who unexpectedly takes over from a star quarterback) plus it centers around the sport of fall (which I don’t even like). Goodreads

4: PRIDE & PREMEDITATION, TIRZAH PRICE

This one seems pretty self-explanatory as to the “why” it seems a good autumn read. It’s Pride and Prejudice re-told as a murder mystery. I’m here for it. Goodreads

5: AFTER SHE FALLS, CARMEN SCHOBER

This one just sounds REALLY good to me because for the Christian fiction (or inspirational) genre, it sounds really different. It follows a single mother who has a dream of MMA fighting. Plus this will be a debut new author, too! Goodreads

6: TACOS FOR TWO, BETSEY ST. AMANT

This one looks darling and sounds fun (plus, who wouldn’t love this title??). Goodreads

7: AUTUMN BY THE SEA, MELISSA TAGG

Haven’t read anything by Tagg for a while now. Someday I need to remedy this and the start of a new series (in a new town) just might be the right way to go about this remedy. Goodreads

8: MOMENT OF TRUTH, KASIE WEST

Love Kasie West and this one seems autumn-y plus as I’m just wrapping Sunkissed, I won’t mind reading two West novels back to back. Goodreads

What about you; do you read your seasonal TBR books or shift to other titles (not on your TBR)? Do you read books that “feel” like the season or whatever catches your eye? How do you determine (or not) TBRs? Comment all of your thoughts below! As always, I love to chat (and promise to get to all your comments soon). Thanks!

    1. I’m reading ‘Girl’ now. Now as fun as I hoped. :/ But I’m still reading! Good for you! Someday I like to think I’d read an entire seasonal TBR during its curated seasonal TBR period. ;)

    1. Well I always have the best intentions to read these (in this seasonal TBR), but I never seem to. It’s just one of those things where I just don’t get around to read them. Melissa’s books are DARLING. Hope you enjoy if you do read anything by her. :)

        1. YAY! So fun – ENJOY. I just opened my recent book mail and realized I made the mistake of ordering TWO paperback copies, so I’ll have to host a little U.S. giveaway. :)

          1. That’s a great idea! I just had three duplicate copies in my last video book haul. It was embarrassing to say the least. ;) Now I’m trying to decide if I’ll send them back or host giveaways. :)
