SEE THESE 10+ ENTERTAINING ALL HALLOW’S EVE TV EPISODES!

It’s the spooky time of year when everyone dresses up (sometimes weirdly) and puts ghosts in their yards. Or they just create memes that honestly, I’m over seeing. Whatever your idea of October 31 looks like, I decide to look at some of the Halloween TV episodes there are.

LIST | RANKING THE SOUNDS OF ‘MIDNIGHTS,’ THE NEW TAYLOR SWIFT ALBUM

Like I always add as a kind of disclaimer, I don’t join activities centered on this day. Never have and don’t see that changing. It’s not my jam. Still I watch spooky-lite movies sometimes this time of year, and this year, I got to wondering, what TV shows have don’t some funny-ish episodes about the 31st. Most of which are probably ½ hour comedies since this tends to be the shows that have most fun with seasonal episodes. So keeping this in mind, we’re going on a search spree to find this type of episode as the end result.

BLUE BLOODS

The Episode: “Nightmares,” Season Three, Episode 7

This one says it didn’t air until November but reads that it follows “Danny [being] called to the scene on Halloween night.” I would have seen this one, but guys, that was over five years ago. Don’t ask me to remember a specific episode. Find with Paramount+

CASTLE

The Episode: “Vampire Weekend,” Season Two, Episode 6

Castle was my favorite for so many years. Loved it. There’s more episode themes like this too in seasons four and eight. But we’ll leave them for another day. This episode follows Castle and Kate investigating a body found in a graveyard with fangs! Find with Hulu

CHUCK

The Episode: “Chuck Versus the Sandstorm,” Season One, Episode 6

In this, Chuck sees someone wanted by the government and must interview for an assistant manager job. halloween tv episodes

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION

The Episode: “The Chick Chop Flick Shop,” Season Eight, Episode 5

I cannot remember exactly how much of the day this episode talks about or uses, and do notice it aired on November 1, but it does follow a story line of solving the murder of a popular slasher film actress and I think it getsd all spooky-like! Find with Paramount+

ABOUT A BOY

The Episode: “About a Will-O-Ween,” Season Two, Episode 3

Will hosts an extravaganza and his uptight neighbor, Fiona, decides it’s this event that she can “let her hair down.”

AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE

The Episode: “The Westport Zombie,” Season One, Episode 3

Katie, begrudgingly, competes in the Westport “zombie run” and Anna-Kat along with her dad becomes a little too zombie-fied.

BEN AND KATE

The Episode: “Scaredy Kate,” Season One, Episode 6

This one follows siblings and this episode is about Kate’s best friend creating “the new Kate” for the day. I don’t remember the details, but do remember this one did make me laugh.

BOY MEETS WORLD

The Episode: “Who’s Afraid of Cory Wolf,” Season Two, Episode 6

In a Facebook group, I asked about episodes because I am late (what a shock) again putting this together. One of the first comments that came in is Boy Meets World. I don’t think she cited a specific episode, and I don’t even know if I’ve seen this episode but I did use to watch Boy Meets World, and someday I should re-watch it all. Just for fun. Until then, this episode follows Cory visiting a psychic when he’s SURE he’s turning into a werewolf.

DHARMA & GREG

The Episode: “A Closet Full of Hell,” Season Two, Episode 6

Just watched all of Dharma and Greg after never seeing it and it’s funny. Not an ultimate favorite but funny enough. Don’t remember this episode specifically but after looking it up, my memory is jogged. It follows the couple finding a room full of dolls in their apartment… some of which look exactly like Dharma and Greg. Find, at publication, with Hulu

HAPPY ENDINGS

The Episode: “Spooky Endings,” Season Two, Episode 5

This one features the gang of best friend, which is what this show follows, dressing up in wacky costumes including a mother and baby one that prevents either one from any solid flirting. halloween tv episodes

LAST MAN STANDING

The Episode: “Last Halloween Standing,” Season One, Episode 4

One of the funniest comedies on TV (still sad over its cancellation), in season one, Tim Allen is sad his three teen daughters no longer want to partake in annual traditions. Plus, of course, there’s multiple, just as funny if not funnier episodes in later season, too. Find with Hulu

MELISSA AND JOEY

The Episode: “Witch Came First,” Season Four, Episode 1

This is one of those Halloween TV episodes that really fits because of its callbacks. Mel’s past comes back to “haunt” her when her gynecologist tells her she’s actually a witch. This one is funny and a spoof of Melissa Joan Hart’s days as Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Plus Beth Broderick guest stars. pop culture news one hundred and thirty-six

NEW GIRL

The Episode: “Halloween,” Season Two, Episode 6

Jess finds a job in this seasonal-themed episode.

STEP BY STEP

The Episode: “Something Wild,” Season Four, Episode 6

Just recently watched this show in its entirety. It was fun since I’d seen some episodes as a kid. Basically, all I knew about the show was it follows two single parents who meet and marry in a whirlwind romance and their challenges blending families. This episode has the kids (who have a love-hate relationship) growing a giant pumpkin and working up courage to ask a crush to their party. Find with Freevee

TROPHY WIFE

The Episode: “Halloween,” Season One, Episode 6

A costume ends up being a disaster in this one!

MORE

Of course, there is PLENTY of additional episodes you could enjoy. But we have to save things for future years, too. Either way, I asked some friends on a Facebook group page, and many recommended the following shows, which I haven’t seen so it’s hard for me to personally recommend. Just browse wherever these shows are to stream their October 20-something (usually) episode and that is usually the seasonal episode.
