DEAR SANTA: HERE’S A FEW OF MY CHRISTMAS BOOK WISHES

As difficult as this is to fathom, we’re at the time of year when it’s time to have our book wish list for Santa. Although as I’m writing this, it isn’t quite that time yet for which I’m grateful. Nonetheless, I am still in awe of how fast 2022 is speeding past. To help make that a little less annoying, let’s dig into some books, shall we?

By the time Santa sees this list, I’ll be honest, I may have already preordered some of these. Since this is Santa and he knows “everything” though, I’m guessing he can make the appropriate adjustments if I don’t re-work anything. Like any year I find it a bit hard to come up with some wish list titles. This because I’ve really PARED down the type and kind of books I buy. Meaning I did go through a “hype” and “cover art” buy phase. Now I’m much more intentional about the books I buy so it’s harder to find some I haven’t preordered or bought. Still we did find a few!

Let’s discover what they are.

BOOK WISH LIST FOR SANTA

SO, THIS IS LOVE, TRACY ANDREEN

Sequel to last year’s So, This is Christmas, this is going to look at “what’s next” for the characters from Tracy’s first book! Goodreads

NINE LIARS, MAUREEN JOHNSON

Is it odd to add this considering as I type this (which is a pre-plan typing since I’m trying to be better about getting content out), I have only read book on in this series? But I did enjoy it so reading more from Maureen in this world of Stevie Bell who is now going to solve a mystery from 1960s England. Goodreads

THE MAGIC OF LEMON DROP PIE, RACHEL LINDON

A friend shouted-out a few readers about this book and asked us if we’d heard of or read this one. I had not, but honestly, after reading her review, it did sound like a really good read. Goodreadsbook wish list for santa

PAINTED EDITIONS; JANE EYRE, PERSUASION, & THE RETURN OF SHERLOCK HOLMES

Eight editions of classic novels, I’ll add these three from the Harper Muse painted editions collection. I don’t read classic lit, which I never keep a secret, but they do look pretty. Find on Goodreads

NICHOLAS SPARKS NOVELS

Here’s the thing, I don’t love everything about every Nicholas Sparks novel (I think they’re all set in the same area or state for one), but honestly, I have enjoyed the books I’ve read by him. I read the ones I know will end well, and they’ve been successes so far. It’s been an age since I read anything by him, and he has several newer releases since then, so I figure, why not ask for a book written by him? Nicholas Sparks on Goodreads

FAKING CHRISTMAS, CINDY STEEL

This deals with a little white lie that means a woman has to “fake date” the man she loathes most during family traditions and a Christmas getaway. I’ve been seeing this one get some good reviews, so why not add it to the list!? Goodreads

Thanks for visiting! As always, I’m grateful you spend some time here. Apologies I don’t get to visit your websites sooner, but I will make it there soon.

Have you read any of these? Would you? What books would make your wish list for Santa? How many do you hope you find under the tree? Let us know in the comments – let’s chat.
