BOOKS WRITTEN OVER TEN YEARS AGO THAT I STILL LOVE
When it comes to books and more specifically the books written ten years ago (or more), I have conflicting feelings. On the one hand, some of them I have super fond memories of and to this day, love. On the other, I have this odd feeling that maybe, no matter my fond memories, I donβt ever want to re-read them lest that memory tarnish. Itβs a weird sort of bookworm quirk and yet, here we are.
LIST | LETβS FIND A FEW OF THE MORE HILARIOUS BOOK TITLES I OWN
The not re-reding bit aside, I still like to look at some of the books Iβve read in years past and surmise whether Iβd still love them. Itβs just more fun this way. Thatβs what weβre doing today just because and, also, why not? Letβs get started.
BOOKS WRITTEN TEN YEARS AGO (OR MORE!)
ROYAL RUNAWAY PRINCES, HESTER BROWNE (2012)
Ok, so this one is cheating since it was barely written ten years ago. However, this is one book that seems to be one I could re-read and Iβd still thoroughly enjoy it. Goodreads
BOOKS WRITTEN OVER TEN YEARS AGO THAT I STILL LOVE #TOPTEN #TOPTENTUSDAY #BOOKLIST #BOOKS #BOOK #READER #READING #AMREADING #READERS Share on XNOW AND ALWAYS, LORI COPELAND (2008)
I, sadly, cannot remember much about this one, but I seem to recall thinking it was a charming and entertaining read. Plus I know I did used to quite enjoy Loriβs novels, including Roses Will Bloom Again. Goodreads
ROSES WILL BLOOM AGAIN, LORI COPELAND (2002)
I cannot remember details about this title either, much like Now and Always, but I do know I enjoy some of Loriβs books and really, someday I wouldnβt mind re-reading some of them. Goodreads
DEE HENDERSON NOVELS (2005)
I adored, when I read them, Deeβs OβMalley and Uncommon Heroes series. Both are so dang good, especially if you like mysterious but not too dark stories. Goodreads
TO CATCH A THIEF (SERIES), JILL ELIZABETH NELSON (2006)
These books were, at the time I read them, some of my most favorite. Theyβre caper style stories each of the three books following the same stories. Kind of ABC Castle in some sense pre-Castle days. Goodreads
ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS, STEPHANIE PERKINS (2010)
This one was just a simple, easy and fun read for me. I have such fond memories. Goodreads
THE GUERNSEY LITERARY AND POTATO PEEL PIE SOCIETY, MARY ANN SCHAFFER & ANNIE BARROWS (2008)
I mean, itβs just charming in ways I didnβt expect. Such a darling and meaningful historical read. Goodreads
THE CHOICE, NICHOLAS SPARKS (2007)
Remember loving this when I read it and I have this instinct I still would. Goodreads
TEAM HOPE (SERIES), SUSAN MAY WARREN (2005)
Read these YEARS ago and while I donβt remember details or specifics, seems like I did enjoy them. Theyβre kind of adventure stories and Susan can, honestly, write in any genre (mystery, contemporary, historical) and she does it WELL. Goodreads
THE PRINCESS, LORI WICK (1999)
Though the link for this may list the publication as 2019, itβs actually 1999. They re-released it which is the edition I linked to. This is one of those nostalgic reads I really would like to give another re-read because I have this memory of loving this. Could just be that teenage me loved the royal tropes though. Goodreads
How do you feel about re-reading a novel you adored? Do you? Has it been a good result? What books do you still love written ten+ years ago? Would you read any of these, or have you? Comment all the comments. Letβs chat.
Thank you for being here! Super grateful and plan to try to work to be better about visiting your lists and webspaces sooner than the following week. But just know, Iβm grateful youβre here.
Linking up with That Artsy Reader Girl August 16: Books I Love That Were Written Over Ten Years Ago
Snap on Dee Henderson and I love Susan May Warren’s! Team Hope was the beginning of my reading binge of her books.
I loved Susan’s books! They’re just so good. Plus she can write any genre and do it well. :) Loved Dee’s too. Thanks for the visit, Sarita. Appreciate that.
Great list. And you picks made me feel like the good kind of nostalgic.

Have a great week :)
For sure. All the good nostalgia. :) Thanks Rae!
The Runaway Princess is one of my favorites, I’ve reread it so many times I’ve lost count!
I should try it as a re-read! I’m just always “nervous” that I’ll ruin my good reader memories. ;) Thanks for visiting, Angela.
