POP CULTURE NEWS EDITION SIXTY-FIVE: THE CHRISTMAS EVE EVE EDITION
It’s Friday – our next to last one of the year, and with it we again look at (mostly) silly stories from the week. This week is likely sparse because I spent the last two days cooped up in a car, and I’m just not in the mood to be super interesting. Plus it IS Christmas Eve Eve. But we’re still going to try to find interesting things because that’s what Friday’s are set aside for. Let’s dive in. pop culture news edition sixty-five

✨POP CULTURE NEWS EDITION SIXTY-FIVE: THE CHRISTMAS EVE EVE EDITION ✨ SHARING A NEW #POPCULTURE ROUND UP. #NETFLIXMOVIES #CULTURE #ENTERTAINMENTNEWS #TWITTER #BARBIE #MARGOTROBBIE Share on XThis week there’s more news about TV shows and stars, like any week. Much to my disappointment I’m really not finding many stories to share that are more conversational inspired. Maybe this is because I’m not present for this week or maybe it’s because it’s nearly Christmas and there’s just literally nothing to talk about, something I suspect will be true going forward with next week too. Still, we can find a few things so let’s find out what they are.
POP CULTURE NEWS EDITION SIXTY-FIVE
Most everyone has probably seen, but if you haven’t, Greta Gerwig’s 2023 (possible) blockbuster has a teaser trailer and some teaser image stills. This one looks like it could be fun, but also, 80s theme and all, doesn’t Ryan Gosling look a little “too much”?
CSI: Miami and Criminal Minds star Adam Rodriguez has joined the cast, including Wednesday‘s Jenna Ortega, in Winter Spring Summer or Fall. The film will also co-star Ortega’s Wednesday co-star Percy Hynes. At press, the film says it’s about two teens “on the cusp” of adulthood who meet on various seasonal days and fall in love.
The Knives Out sequel dropped on Netflix today and MANY are giddy about this. As the weirdo who didn’t love Knives Out, I’m not one of them. But I’m sure I’ll watch it.
Another Hallmark Media multi-picture deal has gone to Brooks Darnell. The actor previously starred in network films like Advice to Love By and A Winter Getaway.
Emily in Paris dropped its season three and it has almost everyone buzzing. Do you watch this one? I watched episode one way back when and I just don’t think it’s for me. Wish it was because the premise is fun.
Is it just me or is it telling that Elon Musk says (really not sure if what he says is going to be true or not) that he’ll resign as CEO soon as he finds someone “foolish” enough to take over? This comes in the aftermath of a Twitter poll Musk put up asking if he should stay or go. Just makes me think this means he’s really not THAT interested in making things more balanced. He claims once he finds this foolish CEO, he’d “just run the software & servers teams.”
