POP CULTURE NEWS EDITION TWENTY-TWO: THE SILLY AND FUN STORY VERSION
It’s pretty appropriate that on the week or “twosday” (aka 2.22.2022) that our Pop Culture News Edition Twenty-Two is here. Sure it doesn’t fall ON the 22nd, but it’s the same week so we’re going to roll with it. And since it is Friday, let’s have that usual round up.
MOVIE NEWS | ‘DOWNTON ABBEY: A NEW ERA’ ARRIVES APRIL 29: HERE’S THE ELEGANT PHOTOS!
Most of the stories I’m seeing this week are more silly or cute than interesting. That said, sometimes a nice and silly story is in the cards and we’re here for it. Let’s take a look at our collected stories from the week, and tell me, which did you see?
POP CULTURE NEWS EDITION TWENTY-TWO
1: ELEGANCE RETURNS
I already wrote about this, but did you see…!? There is so many lovely new promotional posters now out for Downton Abbey: A New Era! I am so ready for this. You can see our full roundup on Downton Abbey from yesterday at the link.
2: MEET YOU AT THE BARRE
This week, Alan Ritchson, star of Amazon’s Reacher, appeared on Today and revealed he met his high school sweetheart, and now wife, Catherine at a dance class! The interview goes on to quote him saying she brought him cookies which means “of course I fell in love!”
The pair has been married for fifteen years and share three kids in a story that sure seems really cute!
POP CULTURE NEWS EDITION TWENTY-TWO: THE SILLY AND FUN STORY VERSION #POPCULTURE #REACHER #DOWNTONABBEY #PINK #ANNALYNNEMCCORD Share on X3: NO PHONE, KID!
I read a story about Pink and her ten-year-old where she says she won’t give her daughter a phone. Honestly… I’m for this. I think anyone who assumes that kids need a phone just because everyone else has the wrong idea. There’s WAY too much out there that ten-year-olds just don’t need. I even find the Internet and social media annoying in a very negative way. Putting kids into that seems sad, and I think it takes away from kids being what they are, which is KIDS! Let them be young, innocent and carefree for as long as they can.
4: POETRY TO PREVENT SERIOUS CONFLICT?
Did you guys see this unusual story? Actress AnnaLynne McCord (from 90210) posted an open letter, poem-style thing to the Russian president about how she wishes she were his mother because she’d have shown him so much love. Is it just me, or does this feel a little weird? Also, just a friendly FYI to her, this wouldn’t be the end all of conflict. Just saying.
5: TV ROUNDUP (BECAUSE THERE’S ALWAYS TV SHOW NEWS)
- Rumor has it Max Thieriot may be leaving Seal Team given news broke he’ll also star in his new producing gig on CBS’ Cal Fire. What do you think? Are you a Seal Team fan, and if so, how do you think he’d leave?
- Law & Order debuted its revival. I’ve only seen an episode of the Law & Order franchise here and there, so I don’t have anything invested. What did you think?
- Serious question: What do you all make of these “prequel” TV series? I mean… I’m not sure that I’m here for them. TV shows like Walker (CW re-boot) and of course, Yellowstone are getting and have gotten prequel series and now there’s news that Starz is developing a prequel for Outlander. It just seems to lack creativity to me to create stories that already have some sort of established world.
What stories did you see this week? Did you see any of these? Did you like any of these stories? Which ones did you see that don’t get a shout-out!? Comment all the comments! Let’s chat on this Friday.
Thank you for visiting! Please, do come back soon.
