SOME OF THE MOST RECENT BOOKS NOW ON MY BOOKSHELF

Despite this idea that perhaps this week would be the PERFECT opportunity to feature what Santa may leave, he rarely leaves me books. A bit crazy, I know. So instead of showing Christmas gifts, today we’re taking this chance to look at the recent book buys I bought and now (mostly) own real estate on my bookshelf.

MOVIE QUIZ | A FUN AND SILLY LITTLE CHRISTMAS MOVIE QUIZ

All this to say, we’re looking at some of the recent books I have on my shelves (or they sort of are!). Let’s take a look at what is new or perhaps even coming soon to my bookshelves. Because it seems like a fun idea. Also, yes, I am using the same descriptors from prior weeks. I just didn’t have that energy burst this week I needed to get newly creative.

MOST RECENT BOOK BUYS

SO, THIS IS LOVE, TRACY ANDREEN

A kind of sequel to So, This is Christmas, despite not having read the first book yet, I did add this to my cart just yesterday so its on its way to my shelves. That sort of counts, right? Goodreads

A THOUSAND HEARTBEATS, KIERA CASS

This is the latest and according to her TikTok page (which I saw via Twitter), possibly her last (for a while anyway) novel. And if you’ve read here for a while, you know I love a fun novel by this author. Goodreads

BOX IN THE WOODS, MAUREEN JOHNSON

Just bought this one online so I’m going to count it even though technically it’s not sitting on my shelf just yet. Goodreads

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMS, MAGGIE KNOX

Another author who’s books I haven’t read but they do sound fun, so therefore I’m hopeful. Goodreads

THE DO-OVER, LYNN PAINTER

Had this one and preorder and it recently arrived. So of course we’re adding it to our list. Goodreads recent book buys

THE CHRISTMAS CLASH, SUZANNE PARK

A good and entertaining Christmas novel is always fun so I’m adding this one just because of that (aka in the hopes it’s fun). Goodreads

WELL, THAT WAS UNEXPECTED, JESSE Q. SUTANTO

This follows a girl whose mother whisks her away to Indonesia to get in touch with their “roots.” While there she fins herself fake dating the son of one of the wealthiest families. Described as “laugh out loud” funny, we can hope this lives up to that! Goodreads

PRETTY LITTLE PIECES, CARMEN SCHOBER

Carmen’s Christian published novels tend to challenge the “pretty picture” filter most Christian art has. I may not always agree with everything authors of this type of genre belief or say, but I always admire when an author does this. For the genre, Becky Wade is another author who does this and I’m glad to have discovered Carmen’s books too. This follows an influencer who seems to have it all until she doesn’t. Goodreads

FAKING CHRISTMAS, CINDY STEEL

This deals with a little white lie that means a woman has to “fake date” the man she loathes most during family traditions and a Christmas getaway. I’ve been seeing this one get some good reviews, so why not add it to the list!? PLUS! I was kindly gifted this by Cindy, and it was the nicest little surprise. Thank you SO very much, Cindy. I’m grateful. Goodreads

Thank you as always for being here. I’m grateful and appreciate that you take the time to visit here. Apologies for not visiting your spaces sooner. But as always I’m glad you visit here. Thanks.

Have you read any of these? Would you? What are some of your recent book buys!? Let’s hear all about them! (How many did Santa leave you?) Let’s meet in the comments.

Thank you for visiting; please do come back soon.

    1. That’s what I saw on Twitter! She posted a TikTok saying she was taking a break from writing and it got posted on Twitter too. Hope this book is a great read. :)

    1. YAY! That’s a sign to give it a chance, right!? ;) Thanks so much for visiting – I did try to comment on your site but it says I cannot post “anonymous” and I didn’t have another option. Just wanted to let you know I did visit your list though. :)

      1. Ugh, bummer that the comment option is working even less than I thought, but thanks for letting me know. (yes, Universe, I KNOW I need to make a real book blog on a less-hostile-to-visitors site)

        1. LOL. It could be my end, too. I know sometimes it’s something to do with security settings (like maybe my Internet security settings, etc.). But I did just want you to know I read your list and did try. :)

  1. I hope you enjoy all of these! I’ve been hearing wonderful things about Faking Christmas. And I really want to read that Keira Cass book. It sounds so good. :)
