With some familiar TV stars in the leads, Love Accidentally is a cute and familiar premise but not the finest.
Love Accidentally (2022) Freevee Film Review
Waking on her birthday, the day promises to be all good things for Alexa Parker (Brenda Song). She believes she’s on the verge of a promotion at the advertising agency where she’s worked harder than anyone else. Trouble is, her boss (Denise Richards) gives her and a co-worker both the chance to prove they are worth the promotion. Less rosy still is, her co-worker, Jason (Aaron O’Connell), is the competitor and the bane of Alexa’s existence.
From there, the day only gets worse for Alexa. One new cell phone later, and she finds an accidental new text-mate. love accidentally
NETFLIX REVIEW | IS IT WORTH IT? ‘YOUR PLACE OR MINE’: A ROMANTIC COMEDY WITH HIGH HOPES
💬📞‘LOVE ACCIDENTALLY’: CUTE BUT UNMEMORABLE TEXT TO MORE STORY📞💬 BRENDA SONG STARS IN THIS #FREEVEE ORIGINAL FILM. #AMAZONSTUDIOS #AMAZONPRIME #PRIME #BRENDASONG #MOVIES #ROMCOM Share on XOne of the romantic comedies I’ve seen the promo spot for countless times, this is one of those films that first glance looks cute. But closer inspection reveals something so-so. Here’s the thing, the premise of this is darling. It has a kind of You’ve Got Mail situation going for it but this one doesn’t have the same appeal as the Meg Ryan romance. Aaron is known for some prior work in Hallmark romance flicks and Brenda Song for The Suite Life of Zack and Cody which is one of those former Disney shows. These two are fine together and of course, the play is all about them disliking each other. Something that can be a fun trope though these two don’t quite make it work at its best. love accidentally
The concept of texts and becoming friends is all kinds of sweet and allows for an old-fashion concept albeit in a modern world. There’s a few too many awkward moments for me to love this one. I’m not sure if it’s the cast or the script or both. Either way, while fun, this won’t be a film I re-watch like I do my romantic comedy favorites.

Content: there is some minor language including sh*t and some minor innuendo. The film does have a PG-13 rating but really could probably pass as PG.
