ROMANTIC BOOK COVERS THAT ALSO HOPEFULLY CONTAIN A ROMANTIC STORY

by

We love a good romantic fiction title around here. This is why we talk about romance books quite a lot and likely why that’s probably about all we feature. For me, part of finding this type of read (and likely what is most often on my bookshelf), is the cover design. As today IS February 14th, we are looking at some romantic book covers, just because. Plus, any excuse I have to comb through my books to try to find the best options, well, you know I’ll take this.

Let’s jump into our collection and see what we can find. The problem with limiting oneself to our shelves is that we do likely play repeat with lots of titles. Nonetheless, it works best to keep choices limited to something. When I’m looking for something romantic or use the term “romantic,” mostly I think of a good romantic story. That said, romanticism can also be a kind of style or type of décor. Because of this, a couple we’re finding probably falls more into this. Nonetheless, I hope the story inside features some romance.

ROMANTIC BOOK COVERS

SO, THIS IS LOVE, TRACY ANDREEN

This is a follow-up to So, This is Christmas, and is set at Valentine’s Day. It catches everyone up with Finley and Arthur. Goodreads

RENT A BOYFRIEND, GLORIA CHO

This cover just looks cute and all the pink is fun, too! Plus that bokeh effect makes it more romantic. Goodreads

P.S. GOODBYE, TARI FARIS

Perhaps not my most favorite cover ever, I really did enjoy this story. It’s a novella and has a kind of old-fashion plot between the couple who write letters. Goodreads

MUCH ADO ABOUT A LATTE, KATHLEEN FULLER

This one is just all sorts of sweet in a charming old-fashion kind of way. Goodreads

11 PAPER HEARTS, KELSEY HARTWELL

I mean… this one is just so dang cute. I had to include it. Goodreads

LOVE YOUR LIFE, SOPHIE KINSELLA

This one just has that kind of “romantic” vibe even with it being a strict romance? I don’t know if it is, but I do now I still have to read a novel by Kinsella. Goodreads

BACK TO YOU, JESS MASTORAKOS

One of the books that looks sweet which makes me think this could be a cute read. Goodreads

THE COURTEOUS CAD, CATHERINE PLAMER

Ok, confession time. I don’t actually own this version of this novel, it’s the old cover I have, but they’re re-releasing these, and look how pretty this new cover is!? So sweet and subtly romantic which I love. Goodreads

THE WINNER’S CURSE, MARIE RUTKOSKI

Another one that’s more about a “romantic” look than a cover depicting a romance. However, the coloring is gorgeous and we love a pretty dress on a design. Goodreads

BLUE SKIES TOMORROW, SARAH SUNDIN

I enjoy Sarah’s books, but don’t know that I’ve read this one. Plus the cover art has this kind of old fashion “look” (inches away, the smiles) that gives it a cozy appeal. Goodreads

MY HERO NEXT DOOR, MELODY SWEET

This cover art though. It’s all kinds of sweet. I also think the book sounds cute about two college students who meet in an unusual way. Goodreads

STAY WITH ME, BECKY WADE

The bokeh effect and photography of this one is just all kinds of romance. Plus, the story is brilliant. Goodreads

THE PRINCESS, LORI WICK

This is an older edition of the novel but this novel has a special place in my reader heart. I loved it. Goodreads

OUR STOP, LAURA JANE WILLIAMS

Pretty sure I read this one a while back. It didn’t live up to the expectations I had in my head, but the cover is still cute! Yellow and all. Goodreads

Have you read any of these? Would you? What types of Valentine’s Day list did you put together? What type of “romance” fiction is your favorite? Let’s talk in the comments section!

  1. So This Is Love has a really cute cover! I also did a cover topic this week, covers with hearts on them and funnily enough most were not romance novels, whilst they did contain romantic elements, most came from different genres but I’m not a big romance reader so that’s hardly a surprise!

    1. But they totally were on brand and fit the topic. :) And I agree. So This is Love does have a cute cover, which I always love. Thanks for stopping by, Jo. As always.

  2. I love that you included an old Catherine Palmer novel. I still have alot of her paperbacks and really miss her writing.

    1. So do I, Dedra. Never underestimate a good romance-y cover. ;) Hope we both enjoy Kinsella’s. Despite her popularity and writing a genre I enjoy, I haven’t yet read her books.
