SPRING IS IN THE AIR! THE SPRING TBR BOOKS I LIKELY WON’T READ

Here we are. Back at it with yet another of our usual seasonal TBR lists. This time around it’s our Spring 2023 TBR list, and yet again, a list of novels I’m unlikely to read because this girl still isn’t reading. However I make these because a: I enjoy them and b: I have this idea it will inspire me at some point.

Despite the unlikeliness of reading these during this season of TBR creation, I still have the best of intentions to read these all. Just have to start. Perhaps this list will be where I do. Mixing in a few upcoming releases and mostly, at least hopefully, the books I have on my shelf. Let’s meet the candidates.

BOOKS ON THE SPRING 2023 TBR

FINLAY DONOVAN IS KILLING IT, ELLIE COSIMANO

I’ve had this one on my shelf for a while and additionally I see it making book lists, too. Hoping I find a good story inside. Goodreads

FAMOUS FOR A LIVING, MELISSA FERGUSON (MAY)

This one sounds so fun! I haven’t read a novel by Melissa yet, but I hear they aren’t quite as romantic as the promotion (cover) of them. However, this one deals with an influencer which sounds fun and I’m still curious about all of the books I own from her. Goodreads

A LADY’S GUIDE TO FORTUNE HUNTING, SOPHIE IRWIN

This book looks like a lot of fun. I haven’t had it on my shelf for all that long, but it’s one of those that seems like a great fit for this, our spring TBR list. Goodreads

THE VANISHING STAIR, MAUREEN JOHNSON

Read book one Truly Devious a while back and don’t remember it much now. But I do want to read more in this series. Though this is an unusual one to have on a spring list (usually I put mysteries on my fall and winter lists), I’m including this to continue reminding myself to read the next book in the series. Goodreads

THE DO-OVER, LYNN PAINTER

Don’t know much about this one but it’s one of the more recent additions to my shelf. Which means it seems as good a choice as any to add to this spring 2023 TBR! Goodreads

A GUIDE TO BEING JUST FRIENDS and HOW TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR, SOPHIE SULLIVAN

I’m so hopeful that Sophie’s books are good. Seems like she’d write the kind of books I enjoy most. ‘Friends’ Goodreads • ‘Neighbor’Goodreads

MEMORY LANE, BECKY WADE

A new novel by Becky is always high on my must read this. This is a new series starter from her and it’s published differently too which means more curiosity. Goodreads

BORROW MY HEART (JUNE) and PLACES WE’VE NEVER BEEN, KASIE WEST

Kasie’s books are probably all great additions to summer TBRs but they have to be great spring time reads too! I haven’t read Kasie’s latest novels yet. This includes her upcoming novel and her 2022 release Places We’ve Never Been. ‘Heart’ Goodreads • ‘Places’ Goodreads

Would you read any of these – or have you? Are any on your most recent TBR? Which ones sound most interesting to you? Have you read anything by these authors? Fill the comments with all of your thoughts.

    1. I’m so bad (at least right now) about sticking to a TBR. However… I LOVE creating them and picking out books I really do have the best intentions to read… just probably not during this time period. But who knows! Maybe I’ll surprise myself. And thanks for the recommendations, Deanna! I like to hear what others enjoy. :)

  1. Memory Lane was so good! It’s my new favorite Becky Wade book. Famous for a Living is on my wishlist. I haven’t read anything by the author yet, but I keep hearing great things about her books. :D

    1. I actually haven’t read anything by Melissa yet either, but her books sure look and sound really good! Definitely an author I’m excited to add to my “read” list. And I’m so pleased to know Becky’s is a great read. I just started it last week and need to pick it up again. Starts off strong. :)

    1. Sounds like it could be a fun read! I read another Groundhog Day YA novel several years ago, and much to my surprise (I don’t love the movie), I did really enjoy it! :) Hope we both like Famous For a Living.

  2. I love the site makeover – things look so bright and fresh, just in time to welcome spring! I haven’t heard of most of these books, but I can vouch for Finlay Donovan, that whole series is incredibly funny! I hope you enjoy them when you get to them.

    1. Thanks, Leah! Really appreciate the kind words AND love hearing that the Finlay Donovan books are funny. That’s precisely what I really want from them. :)

  3. Finlay Donovan is on my spring list too – it’s been on my radar forever and I just can’t seem to get to it – maybe putting it on a list will help? :)
Hope you get out of the reading doldrums soon.

    1. That’s what I hope for too, Terrie. Pretty sure I’ve had Finlay Donovan on a list before but I hope by continuing to feature it, I’m reminded of how fun a read it seems. ;) Hope we both enjoy and thanks for visiting!!
