TEN SONG LYRICS YOU’D FIND ON MY INSTAGRAM PAGE

When it comes to storytelling that is audible, there’s none I like better than music. Well, outside of a good (and I mean really good) film. Despite the ask of today’s list being audiobooks and its narrators, I don’t listen to those to have enough knowledge. So instead we’re looking at song lyrics from my Instagram page. This because they likely represent the songs I’ve been listening to.

Before we move on, here’s a side note for ya, does anyone else still use wired ear buds or headphones? I do, but I feel super old and as if I’m silly. Anyway, I’m just curious since this is all about audio! I actually put something like this together not that long ago, but looking at it tells me that it was approximately this time last year. I wish I could be more creative in topic choice today, but since this is technically still audio, only a different kind, and there can still be story elements, we’re going with some lyrics. Let’s see what we find.

SONG LYRICS ON MY INSTAGRAM PAGE

An empty grave is there to prove my savior lives! – Because He Lives

You’re my safe place. My hideaway. You’re my anchor.
My saving grace. You’re my constant. My steadiness.
You’re my shelter. My oxygen.

– LAuren Daigle

I pray for your healing. – Katy Nichole

I speak the name of Jesus over you / In your hurting, in your sorrow I will ask my God to move
I pray for your healing, that circumstances would change
I pray that the fear inside would flee in Jesus name
I pray that a breakthrough would happen today
I pray miracles over your life in Jesus name – Katy Nichole

All that I can do is just believe that someday,
somewhere someone’s looking for me too

– Carlos PenaVega

It all sounds simple coming off our lips. ‘Cause we’re so little
and He’s so big. Can’t find it in the Bible but Lord I swear.
Nothing hits heaven like a small town prayer.

– Raelyn

Some of us Get stuck in a Love Triangle. – Raelyn

I regret you all the time. – Taylor Swift

Saying goodbye is death by a thousand cuts. – Taylor Swift

Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye.
You were bigger than the whole sky.
You were more than just a short time.

– Taylor Swift

…and I honestly thought I had more lyrics not by Taylor Swift in my recent lyric features. Oh, well. Next time!

Do you like any of these lyrics or songs? Which songs are you loving? I’m always looking to discover some great new music! What songs would you feature on your Instagram page? Comment all of your thoughts. Let’s talk.

    1. I tend to post things Instagram doesn’t like (for the algorithm) but I’ve never been a personal kind of social media sharer so if I have pages, it’s more about things like that than anything. ;) Although I could see sharing nature! There are some STUNNING places. :)

  1. Nice take on this week’s topic! I don’t listen to audio books either (too much noise going on in my house with my children lol), but my fellow reviewer does and put together a great list this week. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

    1. I wish I was better about audio books or LIKED them more. For some reason I’ve never gotten attached. Could partly be because I’d probably still want to own favorites in actual books and I don’t want to buy them plus pay to have the audio service too. :)

  2. I love Taylor Swift’s lyrics so much, she really is a master of telling a story through song. I think the one from Bigger Than The Whole Sky is my favourite of the ones you’ve chose, such a beautiful song. She did Cold As You as one of her surprise songs at the Eras Tour over the weekend and I was definitely very jealous of all the people there, as though it might not make my top ten of her songs overall (by sheer number, there are so many!), lyrically, it’s one of my favourites. Also on the headphones thing, yes I still used wired headphones (and I’m only 26, so I like to think not that old!), I worry about losing the wireless ones, I go running a lot and I worry if they fall out of my ears whilst I’m running or something, they’re expensive to replace!

    1. Taylor has a great talent with lyrics. Even if a song isn’t my most favorite, there is sometimes that one lyric that I’m like, “dang! That was good.” ;) I saw lots of people talking about ‘Cold as You’ on Instagram or somewhere and I think Taylor said it’s her best/favorite from the OG album. I should give that one a listen again. I feel like her older stuff gets lost in listening to her newer songs so going in to re-listen is almost like a new song. :) Also, yes! ‘Bigger than the whole Sky’ is good. :) And YAY! Glad I’m not alone with wired ear buds. I don’t run, but do try and walk at least 4 x a week so I use them there and even at the computer. I’ve never jumped on the wireless trend and like you, I’d be too afraid to lose mine!!

    1. I really need to listen to some of the songs by Cain. I’ve seen their band name show up on Spotify here and there and I’m intrigued, so I’d best give them a listen! :)

    1. It’s fun to share lyrics or favorite sayings! I used to post ALL THE BOOKS and while I still adore books, I kind of “ruined” that hobby for myself so I haven’t picked it up again. Maybe someday. Until then, I enjoy this route. :)

    1. I’ve never even bought a wireless pair, Leah! You’re way ahead of me there. ;) I still like my wired ones, even with the wires, so I just stick with them. :D
