‘THE WEDDING CONTRACT’: COUPLE TRIES TO FIND BALANCE AMID WHIRLWIND WEDDING
With two stars that aren’t as frequent on the network but a similar plot, The Wedding Contract will still charm many of its viewers.
The Wedding Contract (2023) Hallmark Film Review
It’s like perfect fate when Adam (Jake Epstein) and Rebecca (Becca Tobin) meet. They have the kind of introduction of romance novels and share a charming love story. So charming in fact that Adam is head over heels for Rebecca and proposes marriage at six months. Everything is going well for the ad executive and devoted teacher. Then the mother’s meet…

💒‘THE WEDDING CONTRACT’: COUPLE TRIES TO FIND BALANCE AMID WHIRLWIND WEDDING💒 A review of the 2023 #Hallmark flick. #BeccaTobin #JakeEpstein #Movies #Romance #RomCom #HallmarkMovies #Hallmarkies Share on XThis is like a mash up of more than one wedding romance. From Monster-in-Law to The Wedding Planner, there’s familiar elements that play up and out throughout this ninety-minute Hallmark original. Cute albiet nothing super original, the film does surprise me not only with its primely perfect meet-cute and opening credits that “tell” the love story, but also it’s adorable movie and book quote banter.
If you like wedding movies or of course, as is always the rule, this network and its previous contributions, you’re likely going to enjoy The Wedding Contract. It’s something that fits in or usual cute box with just enough conflict to make the film interesting. I don’t love how everything ends, just in terms of what happens (it’s asking a little “too much” of me as a viewer to “buy” the chain of events and conclusive “perfection” resolution), but again, it’s okay. It has the usual characters (family) to support our leads and a love story sure to make its target audience swoon.
Content: there’s nothing out of the ordinary of the usual TV-G rating. There is some “conflict” between families and the couple, but as far as content that may bother, I cannot think of anything to mention.
