READ ALL ABOUT IT! TEN BOOK TITLES THAT WOULD MAKE HEADLINES
Book titles are something that don’t get enough credit. We ohh and ahh over the stunning cover art and designs that show up on our feeds, but lost in that shuffle is often titles. Today we’re featuring some, specifically, ten book titles that would make good headlines. Why? Because it seems like it’d be fun and also, why not?

📰READ ALL ABOUT IT! TEN BOOK TITLES THAT WOULD MAKE HEADLINES 🗞️📰 Talking headline book titles. Kind of. #Books #TopTen #TopTenList #BookList #TopTenTuesday #BookList #Book #Reader #Readers #Reading Share on XI have a feeling I’m not going to be any good at this topic, but again, in this case, this doesn’t matter. We’re here first and foremost to have some fun, and of course, it gives us a chance to share some books. With all that said, let’s see what we find and if I make any good choice for this topic.
BOOK TITLES THAT WOULD MAKE GOOD HEADLINES
THE ROSE OF WINSLOW STREET, Elizabeth Camden
I could see this being some sort of society headline or feature on a person, maybe more so in the era the historical book is set, but still… I think someone with a flowery pen would use this as a headline even if it’s in a societal publication. Goodreads
HAPPINESS FOR BEGINNERS, Katherine Center
I could see this being a headline for some type of feel-good story. Appropriate since it fits the plot of the novel, too. Goodreads
A SECRET TO DIE FOR, Lisa Harris
Fits with some true crime headline, though to be honest, maybe they only put these types of stories in TV specials? Do newspapers still cover stories like this? I haven’t read one in years. Goodreads
THE WISHING SEASON, Denise Hunter
This feels like a headline that would fit in some sort of small town newspaper from a Hallmark movie. It just seems like something you’d see there, fitting since this story is also sweet. Goodreads
A JOURNEY BY CHANCE and THE WINDING ROAD HOME, Sally John
These are novels I read years ago, and some of the first I ever reviewed (just for fun). Both seem like they would be headlines for feel good stories in a hometown newspaper. ‘Chance’ Goodreads • ‘Road’ Goodreads
THE SATURDAY NIGHT SUPPER CLUB, Carla Laureano
Going heavy with the feel good story headlines. But do we want any other kind? Goodreads
LADY JAYNE DISAPPEARS, Joanna Davidson Politano
Perhaps more apropos to the era the novel is set in (the 1800s I think) but still with all the true crime stories, it seems kind of fitting as a headline. Goodreads
DELAYED JUSTICE, Cara Putman
Some of these (titles) remind me of those true crime specials but still, I think they could work as a headline too. Though this one would need a little more or a subtitle, right? Remember, guys, I said in the opening I would probably fail at this. Goodreads
HELLO, GOODBYE AND EVERYTHING IN-BETWEEN and THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT, Jennifer E. Smith
These both would fit, especially in some sort of feature piece about relationships. I think the latter would be edited to fit the headline better, but this in its original form would either be a piece on love (by statistics, obviously) or if it were edited, perhaps a story about a real couple who has an unusual love story. ‘Hello’ Goodreads • ‘Love’ Goodreads
THINGS I NEVER TOLD YOU, Beth Vogt
An editorial headline, yes, but still we’re going to make it fit. Goodreads
Have you read any of these? Which ones do you think work as a headline? How many are terrible picks!? Comment any and all of your thoughts below. Let’s talk.

Linking Up with That Artsy Reader Girl November 7: Book Titles That Would Make Great Newspaper Headlines (Submitted by Cathy @ What Cathy Read Next)
You put some extra effort into this list and found some good and/or funny headlines!
We have to have some funny ones, you know! :)
None of them are terrible picks! Delayed Justice would definitely make me want to read the article. I can imagine it being a story about a miscarriage of justice that has only just come to light, a wrong righted after years of campaigning, or a cold case finally solved. See, I almost wrote the whole article!
You did indeed, Cathy… thanks! :) And thank you for visiting. I loved the creativity of the topic this week, too.
A great list! They are all good headlines and I enjoyed your explanations.
Have a great week!

Thanks so much, Emily! I really liked the creativity of this topic so I’m glad it was submitted. :)
I like that you picked some feel-good story ones! I was thinking more about the front page of newspapers and such. 🤔 Those are rarely feel-good, alas.
Here’s my TTT!
True, Nicky, most headlines aren’t feel-good. But sometimes we have to find those stories and some of these seem like they COULD made for good feel-good story headlines. :)
I think you did a good job. :)
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Thanks so much, Lydia! :)
I love that yours are feel good story headlines. Great picks!
I didn’t even go look at my bookshelf this week, so I probably could have found more headline “appropriate” titles, but hey, feel-good titles are good too! :)
You found some great ones! I would definitely be intrigued by Happiness for Beginners and The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight :)
Right? They seem like interesting stories (both as novels and in newspaper print, too!).
You are funny! None of them are terrible headlines!! I think we should always go for funny, right?! Or at least add a bit of humor. Have a great week!
Well sometimes we need some humor. ;) Plus I’m not sure I own books with WSJ appropriate headlines, so having fun was the goal. :D
I don’t know what you were worried about, Rissi, you did a great job with this week’s list! Although, you might be closer to Lady Whistledown than The Wall Street Journal, a newspaper is a newspaper!
I love your comparison – and it’s very true based on the titles I picked. ;)
Back when I used to read newspapers, the lifestyle/features section was always my favorite because it was all human interest stories, not hard news. Most of these sound like they could be from that section. I would definitely read these stories!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Those sections are always more fun in a newspaper! I haven’t read a newspaper (not even online) in I don’t know how long. So this was purely an exercise with fun as the goal. :)
HAPPINESS FOR BEGINNERS sounds lovely :)
It is! Definitely a novel that surprised me. :)
I love all of the headlines you chose! Happiness for Beginners is a fun one.
I think ‘Happiness’ is a fun one too, Deanna; and the book is also quite good! :)
Happiness for Beginners is on my TBR. Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/book-titles-that-would-make-great-newspaper-headlines/
I hope you enjoy ‘Happiness,’ Stefani. :)
The Saturday Night Supper Club is a great one! Good job on all of these. <3
And the book is a good read, too. :) Thanks so much for visiting, Dedra.
