‘HARROW,’ SERIES THREE: A UNIQUE MEDICAL DRAMA REACHES CONCLUSION
The third season in a dramatic Australian series that presents the audience with characters that are questionable and seem to have very few morals. Harrow series three is a solid wrap up that may also act as the ending.
Harrow Series Three (2021) TV Review
Just as he slips past the darkest places to protect his daughter, Daniel Harrow (Ioan Gruffudd) is called to a murder scene where a dead young man lays. The young man has Dr. Harrow’s name in his pocket and a letter to Daniel telling him he’s his father and he doesn’t have the courage to affect his life and the family he had. Stunned to come face to face with his past, Daniel isn’t sure how to react. With a connection to the body, he must step aside in the investigation, leaving the autopsy in the hands of colleagues Dr. Fairley (Darren Gilshenan) and Dr. Grace Molyneux (Jolene Anderson).
This case sets in motion a series of events that challenge Daniel, bring ghosts from his past to his front door and puts his daughter Fern (Ella Newton) in danger again.

The set up is the same in the trilogy of seasons. There’s episode cases that resolve within the hour and then there’s the larger story that expands through the ten episode season. It’s not something I particularly like since I’m a fan of the single episodic plotting. These big plot concepts get confusing and sometimes details don’t match. Then there’s the missing parts viewers lose depending on how long the story runs on. harrow series yhree
The cast is really good including Gruffudd, an actor who played in multi period dramas. Seeing him in a contemporary role is quite fun. The characters won’t always be likable and it’s Cal who seems to be the only one with a clear head. Everyone creates complex characters; we wish these characters used better judgement but nonetheless, I’m glad to see where everyone ends up. Well, perhaps minus one character. harrow series three
The show is full of drama and complexity, and it won’t be for everyone. However if you like foreign dramas that color outside the lines, Harrow is a good watch.
