THESE APRIL BOOK SHOWERS WILL BRING MAY BOOK FLOWERS
Making book lists that can have a focus on book cover art is always my favorite. It’s usually easy and fun, plus who doesn’t enjoy talking about one of the best aspects of a novel, which is the creativity of cover art? Today we’re jumping into book covers with April showers, which is quite appropriate on this first Tuesday of April.

THESE APRIL BOOK SHOWERS WILL BRING MAY BOOK FLOWERS. Looking at #RainyDay book covers. #CoverArt #BookCovers #TTTList #TopTenTuesday #BookList #Books #Reading Share on XTo be honest, I’m kind of giggling about the books I’m finding from my shelf to feature because most are more like a storm than a shower. At least that’s what they seem to depict! But that’s okay, we’re still going with it and hoping it works. Let’s meet the books we did find.
BOOK COVERS WITH APRIL SHOWERS
TWISTED INNOCENCE, TERRI BLACKSTOCK
Read this series quite a while ago and I did like it. It centers on siblings who (somewhat) unexpectedly wind up being private detective solving cases they never wanted in their lives. Goodreads
AFTER THE RAIN, BRANDY BRUCE
This one looks like an appropriate and gentle rain shower, the kind that like the novel’s heroine, Debra, we might not find dancing around in. Goodreads
NO JUDGEMENTS, MEG CABOT
Pretty sure I use this one on any rainy day book list. It’s just so cute and perfect! Goodreads
HIT, LORIE ANN GROVER
Read this one years ago and didn’t love it if memory serves (in fact I don’t think I’d rate it as a 3 ½ rating today), but it fits nicely with our theme today. Goodreads
FIRST AND THEN, EMMA MILLS
A fun and colorful approach to the rain design is this darling young adult contemporary cover art! Goodreads
THE SOUND OF RAIN, SARAH LOUDIN THOMAS
I think I did own this book once, back when I was reading books for a judging award program. The cover is so pretty and delicate, and while rain isn’t immediately obvious, the cover does have rain drops. Goodreads
TROUBLED WATERS, SUSAN MAY WARREN
A stormy cover indeed, but we’re making this look work for the list because technically even storms can bring rain showers. Goodreads
STORM SIREN, MARY WEBER
This one is all kind of tumultuous on the cover, but it’s appropriate for the story inside about a heroine who has a potentially dangerous power. Goodreads

These are all nice covers.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.
For sure. We do love a good cover. :)
There’s nothing wrong with tweaking the theme! Sometimes I do it, too. :)
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
For sure. Sometimes it’s just fun. ;)
I have always loved that cover for First & Then. Such a sweet book. And great for your choice today!
The cover is sweet. Definitely one I still have to read too. ;)
I haven’t heard of any books on your list but some of them look good. Storms definitely fit the topic, I used storms too for mine!
Right? A great fit even if there isn’t “rain” per se o the cover. :)
I love the design of First & Then. So pretty!
It is pretty! Hoping the story is fun too. :)
I love that cover for First & Then, though I still need to read the book itself :) Great list!
Same here, Lindsey. I’ve had that one on my shelf for a while now too.
Oh I love the cover of First & Then!
It is fun and cute!
I thought this would be an easy topic. I was wrong. That is all, LOL! You did great. Have a good week!
Bummer. I’m sorry this wasn’t an easy one. The easy ones are always nice to put together. :)
Oooh! All of these covers look fantastic! Great list!
I think they all look like good covers, too, Ronnyell. :)
Your cover choices for this topic are excellent! The Meg Cabot novellooks cute. 🙂
I think it does too, Nicole! Now I just need to read it. ;)
I love umbrellas on covers! They usually seem to signal a light, cute read, but they can also look surprisingly sinister on some book covers. LOL
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I agree re: your thoughts on umbrellas, Susan! Isn’t it funny how different a cover element can look depending on the design/style or colors the book takes on?
Rain is an excellent choice for this week’s topic. I feel like we don’t get enough rain covers.
Right? We don’t! :)
You always create lists with such beautiful book covers! I’m not familiar with any of these, but after seeing how pretty these covers are, I might be tempted to add a few into my TBR.
I know this feel well, Leah. Far too often it’s a pretty book cover that draws me in. ;)
