EXCITING AND ANTICIPATED BOOKS FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2023

When it comes to talking about books, I’m still all in and ready to discuss their literary magic. This is why, yes, I still do search out what’s releasing and if any of the books set to make their bookshelf debut are coming from favorite authors. With this we arrive at our topic today which is discussing anticipated 2023 books. More specifically the books we’re excited for in the first half of this new year.

Like any list similar to this, it’s not fully complete because there are always Indie novels that may crop up with a release date in this timeframe or even a traditional release that is being kept under lock and key. Plus I’m going to try really hard to cull again this year. Between not reading and wanting to buy less books (focus on the type of or author of stories I truly find good and joy in reading), this list may be slim. Either way, while not complete, this list still features some novels to be excited over! Or at least I think it does. Let’s jump in and see what authors have for us in 2023.

ANTICIAPTED 2023 BOOKS

BEGIN AGAIN, EMMA LORD (JANUARY)

Adding this one is perhaps not the greatest bet since I’ve only read one novel by Emma. While I did enjoy it, who knows if she’s an always favorite given my one experience reading her work. Still, the cover is cute and the plot is set to follow a girl ready for college and hoping to becoming an β€œiconic” self help voice. Goodreads

MARCH & FEATHER, EMMA SASKA (FEBRUARY)

Like Emma Lord’s, adding this one is a risk. It’s a debut novel and from a publishing house I have never heard of. However, the plot sounds interesting not only because of its cute pen pal trope but also because its protagonist goes to a homeschool academy. #Curious indeed. Goodreads

MEMORY LANE, BECKY WADE (FEBRUARY)

Learning of Becky Wade’s newest novel made me so happy! The novel is on Goodreads, but not yet pre-order shiny! However, we did share the cover reveal on Instagram last week (HOW CUTE IS IT!?) plus a Reel, and I am intrigued by the plot which is following a heroine who finds a mysterious man! Goodreads

BORROW MY HEART, KASIE WEST (JUNE)

We all know this would be on the list. Her books are joyful and sweet and I’m (so far) here for them all. Goodreads

POSSIBLE TITLES OF CURIOUSITY

ROSEWOOD, SAYANTANI DASGUPTA (MARCH)

A kind of Sense and Sensibility re-telling, this one sounds cute and does look fun, too. Goodreads

NEVER VACATION WITH YOUR EX, EMILY WIBBERLEY & AUSTIN SIEGEMUND-BROKA (ARPIL)

I read one novel by this author duo and it disappointed. Yet even at that the colorful art and titles always β€œget” me. Have you read any of this duo’s books and if so, which ones are worth reading? Goodreads

    1. Me too! It’s funny how MUCH you see it now where it was once more of a “sprinkle” in the rom-com trend. Wonder what will be the next big design trend!? ;)
