‘WHEN LOVE SPRINGS’: WORKAHOLIC TAKES HOLIDAY
Set in a quaint locale with the usual splatter of romance, When Love Springs is ultimately a forgettable flick.
When Love Springs (2023) Hallmark TV Film Review
Working is all Rory (Rhiannon Fish) has on her mind. Hoping to earn a promotion and do well at her job, Rory lets unrealistic expectations rule how she does her work. Even her planned getaway to see her parents renew their vows is met with irritation from her boss.
Once there, Rory struggles not just with the remote location of the Bed and Breakfast, but the lack of technology. Additionally there is the serendipitous arrival of her ex. Without thinking, she ropes Noah (James William O’Halloran), the owner, into her troubles by claiming him as her boyfriend.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘FOR LOVE AND HONOR’ IS A SWEET ROMANCE
‘WHEN LOVE SPRINGS’: WORKAHOLIC TAKES HOLIDAY. #Hallmark film tells story of fake relationship. Share on XAiring on Hallmark, When Love Springs is one of those films that is, like any, cute (our favorite overused word), but ultimately, forgettable. The final act drama is too much especially for the time frame and relationship. But then I also know that this is the norm with most TV film formats.
Family themes coexist with romance which are both familiar genre staples. Fish plays the same character which is likable and “open” as a friendly kind of heroine we enjoy. It’s just not something I will consider a favorite or worth rewatching. This has sweet scenes, so if a romance such as this is what you’re looking for then this may fit your next movie night.

Content: nothing much to note outside of the usual TV-G rating like a few kisses and fibs as the characters try to create a new life.
