POP CULTURE NEWS ONE HUNDRED and FORTY-SEVEN

In big TV show news, NCIS: Tony and Ziva has, presumably, found its entire cast. Joining NCIS vets and leads Michael Weatherly (part of the original NCIS team dating back to its spin off JAG episode) and Cote De Pablo are the following actors Isla Gie (daughter Tali); Amita Suman (Tony’s security firm employee); Maximillian Osinki (elusive computer hacker); Nassima Benchicou (French intelligence playing two sides); Julian Ovenden (from Foyle’s War  Ovenden plays an Interpol leader); Terence Maynard (a “deeply experienced” therapist); Lara Rossie (Tali’s “caretaker” and bodyguard); James D’Arcy (an official at Interpol). What do you think of these actors and their characters?

More sequels may be coming our way. News broke that there is a sequel coming for Devil Wears Prada with (possibly) Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. Then on What Happens Live, Kate Hudson said she and Matthew McConaughey would be open to returning to a sequel for How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days… if they both like a possible script. Honestly, where The Devil Wears Prada is concerned, that’s an iconic cultural film that we should leave be. It ends how and where it needs to, and I think it’s just good as is. It’s a kind of timeless story for its genre. Same goes for ‘10 Days.’ Yes it’s a different kind of movie, but as far as pop culture goes, I think it too is iconic and quite good enough as is. Would you watch possible sequels for either of these?

In a fun closing shout-out, A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray turns TWENTY this week. On the sixteenth it made its mark at the cinema in 2004. We celebrated (like usual) with a simple quiz and adding a review to our archives, finally. Do you revisit these kind of nostalgic favorites?

Sound off down in the comments section below about all of these stories… or the ones we missed. Which ones did you like? Loathe? Let’s meet in the comments section below.
