HALLMARK+ OCTOBER 2024 CONTENT: NEW MYSTERIES AND A MOVIE TRILOGY

It’s a new month and with it the recently rebranded Hallmark+ has more new content to arrive on the platform. The Hallmark+ October 2024 slate will feature some sleuthing and a trio of movies about best friends.

LIST | ‘VERONICA MARS’ AND THE TEN REASONS WHY STILL LOVE THE CULT CLASSIC

In these films will also feature faces you love in stories you’re likely to enjoy. Additionally, there are other titles that will be new to the platform that made their debut on the Hallmark Channel or with Hallmark Mystery. Before Christmas descends, things get spooky with mysteries, so let’s meet the movies you can find on the streaming platform.

AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES

Two new Aurora Teagarden Mysteries will be added to the platform. This series is of course the prequel movies following recently graduated young Aurora in the role of a character Candance Cameron Bure made famous for Hallmark. Skyler Samuels returns as the “early days” Aurora solving mysteries with her friend and cop Arthur.

Joining Samuels will be returning cast members Evan Roderick and Marilu Henner (original to the CCB movies) plus Kimberley Sustad will co-star in one of the films. Two new installments will drop in October.

• A Lesson in Murder – October 3, 2024
• Death at the Diner – October 10

THE GROOMSMEN TRILOGY

This trilogy of films is likely to take after the concept of The Wedding Veil movies with Lacey Chabert. Only this trio will follow the male’s perspective and will follow three best guy friends played by Jonathan Bennet, Tyler Hynes and B.J. Britt.  The series, according to a press release (back in July) from Hallmark in part says “The Groomsmen trilogy takes viewers on the journey of a lifetime as three best friends come together to celebrate their wedding days in the breathtaking destinations […]. As they navigate complex relationships with friends, love interests and family members […]. Pete (Britt), a kind-hearted pediatrician with a penchant for planning; Danny (Bennett), a baseball coach with a heart of gold; and Jackson (Hynes), a stylish and charming social media agent, lean on each other and draw strength from the bonds they share from the special brotherhood built over the years.

Each character will have their own story through locations like Italy, Greece, and Bulgaria. These three Hallmark+ October 2024 titles are:

• The Groomsmen: First Look – October 17
• The Groomsmen: Second Chances – October 24
• The Groomsmen: Last Dance – October 31

Please note, The Groomsmen movies are confirmed to debut in October on hallmark+, but these dates are definite yet. We’ll keep you updated here on any changes. Update: ‘First Look’ is now streaming and ‘Second Chances’ will debut on the 24th according to Hallmark!

MISTLETOE MURDERS

When: October 31

Story: Six episodes tell the story of a year-round seasonal Christmas shop owner who becomes involved in solving mysteries alongside a detective.

Sarah Drew and Burden of Truth’s Peter Mooney will lead the cast. This is also adapted from the Audible series of the same name.

THE CHICKEN SISTERS will conclude its weekly new eight episode run on October
