September is quite a milestone month for the cult classic TV show Veronica Mars. In 2004 the show made its debut which means now in 2024, it hit its twentieth anniversary. Celebrating this is something we did miss celebrating but because we did love this little show so much, we still had to make a publication spotlighting the Veronica Mars ten reasons we still love the show.

Like almost any teen drama, she also has boys in her life who may or may not be the one. The show runs for only three seasons though it does have a film and a revival (that audiences had disappointment in).
Despite its flaws or perhaps viewers opinion that maybe nothing in the world of Veronica Mars exists outside the original three years, many viewers still enjoy and love this show. Its characters are also memorable and I really just want to write about ten reasons why I still love Veronica Mars.
VERONICA MARS TEN REASONS WE STILL LOVE THE SHOW
THE ATMOSPHERE
The atmosphere of this show is really fun. It’s modern but the mystery angle has this kind of noir classic element that’s effortlessly cool and unique. Because of this it has a kind of classic mystery vibe.
THE BEST FRIEND, Wallace
It’s been quite a while since I binge watched this show (and in full transparency I didn’t watch it when it was the “cool” thing to watch), but I do remember liking Wallace. I don’t remember all of his character quirks or all the things I did love (and I’m sure some I didn’t) about him but I know he was fun and that alone is reason enough to love the character.
KEITH MARS
How can anyone not like the dad? Keith Mars is fabulous and he’s great. He’s supportive of Veronica even when there has to be some sternness or reprimanding between them. There is also always love there.
KRISTEN BELL
Kirsten Bell is fabulous in the titular role and I love how she plays Veronica. She’s stubborn and sassy and interesting and I love this about her as a lead character.
LOGAN ECHOLLS
Like almost any peer show (and probably even teen shows airing today), Logan is the resident “bad guy” who may or may not be good. Yet for some reason he’s one of the stereotype guys I actually do like.
THE MYSTERIES
The Mysteries are interesting and based on my memory, they’re darker than some of the show’s peers which means that the stories have some weight and aren’t shy about wading into some emotional tumultuous cases.

While I love specific characters like Wallace, I really like most of the characters and eclectic group of personalities we meet. From gangsters to first loves to bad girls (and boys!) and twisted parents, there’s plenty of characters to meet. Some are flawed, but even at this, sometimes we develop sympathy for them.
THE ROMANCE
While there is flaws in the romances and love stories, I think there is much to applaud in the connection and the “moments” between the end game romance. It’s not always good, and sometimes it flubs everything up, but it’s still easy to cheer on and is, in places, darn good.
THE SASS
I love the wit and sass of the not just Veronica but the scripts. It makes the show more entertaining when there is a good storytelling element that pulls the viewers along for the ride.
VERONICA MARS, duh!
This should probably fall under our “Kristen Bell” heading but I do think the two deserve two separate headings. While we could go on and on and argue that in fact Kristen is Veronica or Veronica is Kristen, I think most actors look on their iconic roles as separate from who they are even if, understandably, some of them is in the character. Either way Veronica is fabulous and I think she’s worth talking about. As the titular character she’s the best place to end this list.
