‘TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT’: NOT WHAT I HOPED FOR BUT IT’S STILL WORTH A WATCH
Part of the Movies and Mysteries 2023 Christmas movie lineup, a female fan favorite leads the cast in the To All a Good Night drama.
To All a Good Night (2023) Hallmark TV Film Review
Losing her father makes Ceci (Kimberley Sustad) look at everything a little bit differently. This Christmas season, that looks like cancelling the annual festival. Just as she begins to wonder if this is the right thing, she happens upon a motorcycle accident where the stranger makes a proposal, marry him, he asks. When she goes to visit him and bring him the promised best meal in town, Ceci unexpectedly begins to wonder who the stranger is and if he’s a developer looking to buy the parkland that her family owns.
Wrecking his bike and feeling a connection to Ceci isn’t what Sam (Mark Ghanimé) plans on. But there’s something about her that is like a balm to his broken soul. Now he’s curious, why, after being so kind to him, is she trying to avoid him?
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘TRADING UP CHRISTMAS’: A COLORFUL AND SWEET HALLMARK MOVIE
‘TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT’: NOT WHAT I HOPED FOR BUT IT'S STILL WORTH A WATCH. Review of the 2023 drama with #KimberleySustad. #Hallmark #ChristmasMovies Share on XI did want to like this one because I saw some positive reviews and conclusions for the film. Sadly, I just didn’t really love the flick. There’s some shining moments and I think Kimberley and Mark do share some cute scenes. (Also, many love the meet-cute.) This said, this was my first half, first impression thoughts about this film.
Since I did finish watching To All a Good Night, I did realize that actually yes the film grew on me. Do I consider it a favorite? No. But it’s still sweet; and I can admit, the more I watched, the more I did enjoy this one. During my annual rankings of the seasonal films I saw, I even bumped it up several spots in my “overall” ranking. There is a lot of heart in this Hallmark Mystery title (that fell under their ‘Miracles of Christmas’ lineup) although I think this may have been the only one I saw from the secondary channel in 2023.
Either way, it was a cute choice. There is lots of emotion which is normal for the films on this secondary channel, but because of this things aren’t quite as bright or cheerful or happy as usual. Regardless, this will charm many.

Note: this is a film from 2023, and I watched/partially reviewed it last year, but never shared (publicized) a review here for the archives. I’m sharing a review this year because many enjoyed this one and Kimberly Sustad is a favorite from the network.

Content: Based on memory and cursory research, this one is a film that is the usual “TV-G” rating with nothing that steps away from the normal content.
