‘ROYAL-ISH’: A REALLY CHARMING AND CUTE HALLMARK ADAPTATION

The third (and sadly, final) film is a trio of royal rom-coms airing on Hallmark, Royal-ish is quite cute.

Royal-ish (2025) TV Film Review

Being an amusement park employee isn’t the sole of the dreams Lacey (Nichole Sakura) has, even if she does get to play a princess! The thing Lacey doesn’t realize is her fiction is about to become reality when she learns that she’s about to play tour guide to a real princess!

When she meets young Rose (Francesca Europa), the girl ends up bonding with Lacey. Needing help, her loyal and concerned dad, Henry (William Moseley) sees this. And so, he asks that she come home with them to help Rose find confidence and master an event she has coming up. royal-ish

The royal genre is a hit or miss with  most viewers, and I certainly have my favorites among them. However, I’d be fibbing if I said I didn’t thoroughly enjoy these three new royal installments. I think the first, The Royal We is, surprisingly, my most favorite. Royal-ish is still equally charming and delightful too. All three seem to borrow from classic rom-coms or just films from the early 2000s, and since that’s a sure way to entertain me, well, I confess to loving this.

What’s more fun is seeing Nichole Sakura elevated to lead lady (she was the bestie, and a good one, in The Finnish Line and has been in Superstore) as well as William Mosley. Best remembered for his role as Peter in The Chronicles of Narnia, as fans of the Walden Media features, seeing him in these is great fun. We are also treated to a short but cute opening title and Royal-ish is based on a novel by Teri Wilson, too. The short of everything is this, this is another entertaining film and of course, we also have a bit of romance, too.

Stream, at publication, next day on Hallmark+ or Peacock TV
