LACEY CHABERT HALLMARK MOVIES AND WHERE TO WATCH THEM!
From a star turning role to countless fan favorite titles with Hallmark, Lacey Chabert has had an impressive filmography continues on. She’s played the “mean girl,” and the likable small-town heroine, but in all of her roles, the favorite of fans may lean towards the Christmas movies she stars in. This to say, let’s take a closer look at what she headlines and recount the Lacey Chabert Hallmark movies (plus more!) you can see her in.
LIST | ‘THE WAY HOME’ ON NETFLIX: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SHOW
LACEY CHABERT HALLMARK MOVIES AND WHERE TO WATCH THEM! See #LaceyChabert on #Hallmark through the years plus other roles apart from the network she makes her own! Share on XThe beginning of her career saw Lacey star in a ten-episode run of the soap All My Children. She also did quite a lot of voice work in the 90s and even into the 2000s. In 1994, she starred in her “breakout” TV role as one of five siblings who “raise” each other. The show ended in 2000. From there, she would star in some smaller roles because she had a star turning role in the 2004 comedy Mean Girls. Her first Hallmark film (she is now at over forty!) was originally said to be Elevator Girl in 2010, but at present, that isn’t an exclusive title with the network.
Let’s look at the roles and titles Lacey has featured in.
LACEY CHABERT HALLMARK MOVIES
THE COLOR of RAIN, 2014
This is the first title that is still under the Hallmark branding if we go by what you can find on their streaming service. It’s a drama that follows the story of a widow and widower who find love with one another but then must learn how to blend their respective families.
Synopsis: When Gina loses her husband on Christmas Day, she soon finds a kindred spirit. – Prime Video
A ROYAL CHRISTMAS, 2014
One of the early royal romances from the network, this was also an ideal favorite for the actress. In addition to its rom-com plot (falling for the cute guy who has a challenging mother, only to learn he has a secret), this was actually the second (I think) highest premiere on Hallmark of its premiere year.
Synopsis: Prince Leopold’s mother objects to him marrying Emily, humble seamstress. – Prime Video
ALL of my HEART, trilogy 2015
This was a super successful title for Lacey (about a woman who inherits an inn only to realize this is a co-inherit situation) and would go on to inspire two additional sequels which are:
- ALL of my HEART: INN LOVE, 2017
- ALL of my HEART: THE WEDDING, 2018
Synopsis: After inheriting half of a house, a young woman develops an unexpected friendship with her co-owner. – Prime Video
MOONLIGHT in VERMONT, 2017
Synopsis: Fiona escapes to her Dad’s Vermont Inn, and meets Derek, the head chef. – Prime Video
MY SECRET VALENTINE, 2018
This one is, as I remember, super cute and has a kind of You’ve Got Mail concept. It’s also a significant title because this pair (Chabert with Hallmark favorite Andrew Walker) will be re-teaming in a month.
Synopsis: A young woman takes advice from the chalkboard notes that a tenant has left. – Prime Video
LOVE on SAFARI, 2018
Synopsis: A web designer inherits an animal reserve in South Africa. – Prime Video

PRIDE, PREJUDICE and MISTLETOE, 2018

CROSSWORD MYSTERIES: A PUZZLE to DIE FOR, 2019
In 2019, Lacey took on the role of Tess Harper in the mystery series Crossword Mysteries. The series spanned five films and ended in 2021. Her co-star was her All of my Heart film trilogy franchise partner Brennan Elliott. The character of Tess is a crossword puzzle editor who ends up teaming up with a police detective to solve curious cases, the first of which is about a series of unsolved crimes that seem to be linked to her puzzles.

The rest of the films include:
- two | Crossword Mysteries: Proposing Murder (TV Movie 2019)
- three | Crossword Mysteries: Abracadaver (TV Movie 2019)
- four | Crossword Mysteries: Terminal Descent (TV Movie 2021)
- five | Crossword Mysteries: Riddle Me Dead (TV Movie 2021)
Synopsis: After several of her puzzles are linked to the murder of an art gallery owner, a crossword puzzle editor teams up with a no nonsense detective to stop a killer in their midst. Stars Lacey Chabert, Brennan Elliott. – Prime Video
CHRISTMAS in ROME, 2019

WINTER in VAIL, 2020
Synopsis: Chelsea inherits a house in Vail. She meets Owen and gets a much needed break. Together, they put on Strudelfest to highlight the charm of Old Vail. Lacey Chabert, Tyler Hynes. – Prime Video
CHRISTMAS WALTZ, 2020
This is a fan favorite based on its user ranking score of 7 (out of 10!). It follows a woman who enters a competition and learns how to dance as she works to change and heal from a breakup just before her wedding day. Of course, romance also blooms from this because it’s Hallmark and a feel-good Christmas movie!

Synopsis: After Avery’s wedding is canceled, a dance teacher helps her rebuild her life. – Prime Video
SWEET CAROLINA, 2021
Synopsis: Marketing executive, Josie, returns home when she becomes the unexpected guardian of her niece and nephew. While there, she reconnects with Cooper, her high school boyfriend. Stars Lacey Chabert, Tyler Hynes. – Prime Video

THE DANCING DETECTIVE: A DEADLY TANGO, 2023
This is Lacey’s first mystery role outside of her Crossword Mysteries franchise. In this one she re-teams with Will Kemp after their fan favorite joint venture The Christmas Waltz.

Synopsis: Constance Bailey is a no-nonsense detective who prefers to work alone. When a high-profile CEO is murdered on the eve of his company’s corporate event in Malta Detective Bailey is sent undercover. – Prime Video
A MERRY SCOTTISH CHRISTMAS, 2023
This title was heavily promoted because it reunites Chabert with her former Party of Five costar Scott Wolf. I don’t remember a whole lot about the film and it wasn’t “cool” for me to see said reunion since I haven’t ever watched Party of Five, however I know it was a nostalgic watch for so many.
Synopsis: Lindsay and Brad head to Scotland for a Christmas reunion with their mother. – Prime Video
HAUL OUT the HOLLY: LIT UP, 2023
Synopsis: Emily and Jared lead the Evergreen Lane HOA toward another successful Christmas. – Prime Video
HIS & HERS, 2024
Starring with her frequent on-screen partner, Brennan Elliott, in this Chabert plays a lawyer leading a busy life with a new case that causes a few hiccups in her otherwise happy marriage to a fellow lawyer.

Synopsis: Married lawyers go head-to-head when they defend a warring celebrity couple. – Prime Video
THE CHRISTMAS QUEST, 2024
Last year, Chabert had a busy year! She not only starred in one of Hallmark’s Fall into Love titles (His and Hers) plus filmed 2025’s An Unexpected Valentine, but she also had two Christmas movies! One with Netflix and this title in which she plays a professional who is hired to track down a treasure, which leads her back to her ex, of course!

UPCOMING Lacey Chabert Hallmark Movies
If her upcoming roles to debut in 2025 is an indication, Lacey Chabert won’t be slowing her roles on Hallmark.
HAUL OUT the HALLOWEEN, 2025
Set to debut tonight (October the 11th!), this film is technically part of the Haul out the Holly series. The writers bring back the primary cast but have some fun by switching up the holidays!
Synopsis: For a neighborhood as renowned for its spectacular holiday displays as Evergreen Lane, the street has long been modest when it comes to Halloween. But when fun and spooky new neighbors, Luna (Brown) and Marvin (Kountz) move to the block, Emily (Chabert), Jared (Brown) and the rest of the HOA agree to get in on the seasonal fun and launch EverSCREAM Lane to fundraise for a local charity. As the block pulls together to plan creepy contests, spine-chilling décor and a spooktacular carnival, new haunted hijinks ensue… – Hallmark Media

SHE’S MAKING a LIST, 2025
Lest you think otherwise, Lacey will co-headline another Christmas movie this year! This time, it will be her and another heavyweight with the network, Andrew Walker. The film is about a “naughty or nice” inspector and the single father she meets.

Synopsis: Seven years after My Secret Valentine, the only time they’ve shared the screen, Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker reunite in She’s Making a List. When a Naughty or Nice inspector (Chabert) investigating a case unexpectedly falls for the child’s father (Walker), things get complicated. – Hallmark Media

Fiji Set Romantic Comedy, 2026
Hallmark also posted to their socials, back in September, that Lacey and co-star Ian Harding had just wrapped a rom-com set in Fiji. There are no plot details yet outside of the set-in-Fiji bit of course, but chances are, we probably will see this one in the first three months of 2026 if the network has a social post about it.

OTHER NON-HALLMARK ROLES
A LITTLE PIECE of HEAVEN, 1991
This follows a man who, in the hopes of making his handicapped sister happy kidnaps children from a home. They live on a farm where they try to make their lives a kind of paradise. Kirk Cameron and Cloris Leachman co-star.

Violet wants a younger child to play with, so Will kidnaps children from the local children’s home and tells them they’re dead and have gone to heaven. PARTY of FIVE, 1994 – 2000
This show was Lacey Chabert’s “breakout” and featured a cast who also saw their breakout roles come with the characters of the Salinger family. Matthew Fox, Scott Wolf, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Neve Campbell starred alongside Lacey Chabert in this dramedy about a family who must cling to each other in the wake of horrible circumstances.
Synopsis: While the original revolved around the five Salinger siblings who become orphans after their parents are killed in a car accident caused by a drunk driver, this reboot of the popular 1990s family drama follows the five Buendias children as they navigate daily life struggles to survive as a family unit after their parents are suddenly deported back to Mexico. – Prime Video

WHEN SECRETS KILL, 1997
ANASTASIA, 1997 (Chabert is credited as the young singing voice of Anastasia.)
HOMETOWN LEGEND, 2002
MEAN GIRLS, 2004
This is of course one of those “iconic” star making roles that is also a film pop culture enthusiasts know well. In this, Lacey Chabert plays Gretchen, one of the Regina George (played by Rachel McAdams) mean girls. The film is a ton of fun and Lacey plays an entertaining character.
Synopsis: Cady thinks she understands “survival of the fittest.” However, the law of the wild takes a whole new meaning when the homeschooled 15-year-old enters public high school for the first time. – Prime Video
Stream, at publication, with Hulu or Paramount+
THE BROOKE ELLISON STORY, 2004
HELLO SISTER, GOODBYE LIFE, 2006
GHOSTS of GIRLFRIENDS PAST, 2009
ELEVATOR GIRL, 2010
Technically this one did air on Hallmark back in the day, but it’s not currently licensed to Hallmark based on the fact that it’s not streaming on their Hallmark+ streamer.
ANYTHING is POSSIBLE, 2013
BABY DADDY, 2013 – 2014
She then had a six-episode run in the ABC Family dramedy Baby Daddy. She played a doctor dating one of the guys the show primarily revolved around. It was quite unexpected and fun to see her star in this. The show followed a guy who lives in a house of dudes and then discovers he’s actually a dad who must now raise his daughter.
Stream, at publication, with Hulu; or digitally purchase on places like Prime Video
MATCHMAKER SANTA, 2012
This film has a promotional poster floating around with the “Countdown to Christmas” banner, but like Elevator Girl from 2010, this Christmas title doesn’t seem to have the Hallmark license (meaning they don’t promote it anymore) now given it isn’t on their streaming service. It does remain an audience favorite based on what I see.
Synopsis: Chris, who may or may not be Santa Claus, firmly believes that Melanie belongs with her wealthy boyfriend’s assistant and sets out to prove it while they are stranded in an enchanting town. – Prime Video
Stream, at publication, with UP Faith & Family
THE TREE THAT SAVED CHRISTMAS, 2014
HOT FROSTY, 2024
I don’t think I’ve noticed this before, but Lacey’s most recent Christmas flick only has a 5.3 user average (out of a 10). This is low comparatively considering most if not all of her Christmas titles have a 6+ user score. This was a Netflix film so it had a bit more “adulting” and while cute, for me it wasn’t about this or the concept (about a woman whose loneliness inspires a snowman to come to life) but rather that the film feels a little too silly, even for a Christmas movie. Nonetheless, it was admittedly still sweet.

I love watching movies with Lacey Chabert in them. Many of her movies I can watch over and over again. The Color of Rain is one that I don’t remember seeing though. Have you seen it?
I’m so glad you enjoy Lacey’s movies! I have seen “The Color of Rain”; it’s one of those more bittersweet movies. But ultimately, it’s a happy ending. :)
