‘HOLIDAY TOUCHDOWN: A BILLS LOVE STORY’ COMBINES TWO ICONIC FAVORITES
The next big premiere (or “tentpole”) title from the Countdown to Christmas lineup of 2025 is Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story. No surprise since last year’s football movie was a popular hit. Now let’s meet new characters in this new sports romance.
Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story (2025) TV Film Review
Neighbors for many years, the Quinn and DeLuca families have shared more than just a street address over these many years. The families also share their deep love for the Buffalo Bills team. All grown up now, Morgan Quinn (Holland Roden) is a doctor who has been best friends with her neighbor Gabe DeLuca (Matthew Daddario) for these many years. What everyone but Morgan seems to realize is that Gabe also has quite a crush on his bestie.
Things change when Morgan learns that her family was the beneficiary of an anonymous gift after her uncle was drafted sixty years ago, and continues to be so, and so she sets out to learn the person behind this generosity.

Review of 2025 #ChristmasMovie with Holland Roden. #HolidayTouchdown #BillsMafia #Football Share on XThe second foray into football with the NFL and as a “big” Christmas feature, ‘A Bills Love Story’ presents more of the same storytelling. This one is about different characters in different phases of life of course, but there is still that same charm as the story taking place in the world of the KC Chiefs football. I do think the 2024 title did it better, but this is probably because we’ve “seen” this done in that and so anything that follows it is likely to undergo a bit more scrutiny.
I have liked everything I’ve seen Holland Roden in, so she again makes a likable heroine and it’s fun to see stars like Steve Schirripa from Blue Bloods show up in this, too. So, all in all, between the cast and the many cameos (that really don’t mean anything to me as a non-football fan but one duo cameo is delightful), this one is sure to impress. There is a lot of heart in this film and while I think perhaps there are a few too many cameos, I understand that Hallmark’s partnership with the NFL is, in part, to add these and have fun with it so I cannot complain too much about this.
If you enjoyed the ‘Chiefs Love Story’ offering of 2024, then Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story is a must-see. It’s not terribly deep or complicated, but when it comes to seasonal offerings, I have a feeling that is the opposite of what we’re looking for!
