Merry Little Mystery (2025) Roku Film Review
Giving back and helping people is something Natasha Maxwell (Sparks) is passionate about. As she loses one thing, it’s time she picks up something else, and so, thanks to a legacy, this inspires her to play Santa. While visiting her beloved grandmother, who lives in a small town, she becomes its Secret Santa, which is a moniker she loves, and it’s also one she’s very protective of. Her secret life is threatened when a tenacious reporter Adrian (Keon Alexander) shows up looking to do a story on this feel-good story.
This keeps Natasha close to Adrian as he investigates all while she tries to keep him chasing the idea that the hope and mystery of this is more important than the answers.
TV FILM REVIEW | ‘CHAMPAGNE PROBLEMS’: MINKA KELLY FALLS IN LOVE UNDER PARIS STARLIGHT
‘MERRY LITTLE MYSTERY’ IS A SEASONAL DARLING! #JordinSparks features in this Roku seasonal flick. #ChristmasMovies #MovieReview #ChristmasMovie #MerryLittleMystery Share on XIt’s been a long time since I saw Jordin Sparks in anything, but aside from her vocal talents (more on that later), she also does well in film. I’ve seen her in some bigger features, and so this past summer when seeing news she’d star in a Christmas movie, I was super curious. Turns out, she’s good in this delightful rom-com and I liked seeing her costar in this as well. We all know that I love newer talent (for these types of films), and these two, for me, fall into this. Sparks also shows off her vocals in this with a song she created for this film.
A little bit of a mystery, a little bit romantic, and a whole lot of heartwarming, Merry Little Mystery is lovely. It’s a story we’ve seen as Christmas scripts and non-seasonal fare, however we don’t mind because its a lovely watch. If you are looking for something that isn’t Hallmark with a good cast that (bonus!) don’t feature in 90% of the Christmas movies, well then, this may be the ideal movie to stream.
